I am so done with today
DH has been sent on his way back to CA. Groceries have been achieved. Child has done home work. It’s been another rainy day.
I may, or may not, achieve some unpacking of the house in a bit.
::goes to get large mackerel, preferably frozen! ::
I can’t wait farrrgh this day to be over either. Best day on the calendarrrgh is coming up in 6½ hours!!!
**MetalMouse **- **FCD **got an electric clipper kit so I could cut his hair, since he just gets it buzzed all over with a #1 guard. After 3 cuts at home, it had paid for itself. From the time he brings the kit out till we sweep up the little hairs, it might take 5 minutes. Easy-peasy!
Supper was London broil, baked N.O.T., 'maters, and broccoli. I got my sweetie a coconut custard pie and I got cherry turnovers for me - I don’t like coconut. Dessert will be later. The dishwasher is washing and I’m done for today. It was a pretty good weekend.
Do we have a volunteer to start us off for tomorrow?
I have achieved the monumental task of haulin’ the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can down to the road for pick up tomorrow. Go Me!
OYKW does not like coconut or raisins. He barely tolerates 'shrooms. I keep him around anyways.
I detest coconut, not as much as bananas but almost as much. I pick the raisins out of my french apple pie. I can tolerate a few mushrooms but I’d rather not.
I could never be a gourmet chef, I’d never taste most of what I cook.
I didn’t get near as much done as I hoped to today.
The board was down?
metal mouse, I’ve been able to give a crew cut since I was six years old (thanks Dad!), although I don’t know if I could do one on myself. I asked around and found a stylist to get my shaggy mop cut here in town and will do that tomorrow after irk.
I’m with Mooom and OYKW on the coconut, although I do like things made with the milk. I think it’s the texture.
I rode the bike over to the 'Boro for a meet up this morning, then came home and talked on the phone with Sis, Dad and my SIL while prepping breakfasts/lunches for irk and making Italian wedding soup for supper (the meatballs absolutely rocked!).
Now it’s time to kick back in the studio to finish a project.
Gee ---- I missed all the excitement!
Back from the festival and kinda sad. It used to be a major event that pulled 10k or more general public a day. At 3:30 this afternoon I could have popped a live round down any of the main “streets” and not hit a soul. I don’t know if it was the weather, the frikkin Steelers playing at home, or if that kind of themed craft show is just suffering a slow and lingering death around here. But its been falling off for several years now and I do not see a happy outcome. Glad I didn’t contract for this year.
Especially since next weekend we’re heading for Thorntown Indiana to see the Electric Amish live! Or at least the semblance of life they pass for. It will be much more fun than running around in several layers of wool for two days.
‘Tis thunderatin’ all around. Maybe we’ll get a big tstorm. I hope so. I’m a little south of da Burg and it looks like there’s a big storm there, so maybe. One can hope.
red, FCM, I used to have a 1960’s crewcut (and my mom cut my hair until I was 17), but I have no wish to inflict self-guided clippers around the few bits of hair that I have remaining…although I have been tempted at times to have the barber take it all off and leave me just another “Old Baldy”.
No tstorms but we have had rain and looks like more on the way. YAY!
I shall now surf teh intartoobz a bit more and then go beddy bye.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
