Low flying in the MMP

Moooom, each congregation of Amish sets their own technology and lifestyle limits. Growing up in northern Indiana where a lot of Amish, Mennonites and other plain groups are, I knew of some who would go church shopping when they were of an age to join the church, got married or moved. Some even worked in the auto industry. :stuck_out_tongue:

I met up with a bunch of heathens at Dragon Park this morning. Because of the rain, there were no kids there. Then I swung through Tar-jay for a shower/tub scrubber (it sucks getting old enough that you can’t be on your knees long enough to scrub it down that way).

Carribean ribs, black beans and callilou for supper.

I read it as “caribou”. On re-read, I don’t know what calilou is or why you would eat it for dinner…?

Spent the day hiding in the dark. Emerging to make sure the small people are fed food.

One day of a colonial festival tomorrow and then back to what normal people call work. If the weather cooperates it will be fun. If it doesn’t it could be a really long day.

Isn’t callilou that little cartoon boy? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pILuiG35TY

I slept most of the day, I just feel ick.
Now I’m proofreading homework. I told him get everything done today because I’m not doing any proofreading tomorrow. Tomorrow is clean house day, or maybe another sleep all day. I don’t know and I’m too grumpy to decide.

Callalou is a tasty greens dish from the Carribean. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/callaloo-recipe.html

I use a combo of spinach and kale, as as the original greens are hard to come by around here.

Yup, I couldn’t sleep on that side & it looks like a rugged, square-jawed action hero. My other cheek is just my usual handsome self.

From my post-op instrux:
FOOD: Soft food and liquids, cold to luke-warm, are advised for at least the first four to five days.
My solution:
It’s soft, it’s cold, & it has medicinal liquid.
Walked outta the house this morning w/o my phone. Went to see former military equipment & got the added bonus of seeing current military being reeeeally D - U - M dum. Literally ≈ 30’ from the wingtip of the B-17 was some temporary fence around two HMMWV’s with portable radar trailers. On the fence there was a sign taped up, “No cellphones or photography”. Ummm, let’s put the top-secret, not-to-be-photographed objects in the near background of the tourist object that is being heavily photographed instead of anywhere else on the airport grounds. :smack:
Rosie, that app only works with crApple products or else requires a webcam. No can use it here.

We’re back! (I think)

Happy Sunday!

It’s cool and dreary outside.

I slept all day yesterday, and all last night, and now I’m ready for a nap.
Too weird, I shouldn’t be so tired

Yup, we’re back. I was starting to get the shakes from not knowing the Jawjan weather for the day. I even tried going onto the various weather sites & got no results when I typed in “Jawja”.
For lunch I recommend a Cheeseburger.

We’re back? I guess the human sacrifice worked!*

[sub][sub]*No actual humans were harmed in the writing of this post. Although Gordie would like to eat the rat terrier across the street[/sub][/sub]

I minimized my withdrawal by going out for breakfast. We’re back, in all senses of the word.

I’ve got a load of unders in the washer. I have one pottery chore to do today. Other than that, no plans.

Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffeinated, purtified, and deheathenized so no YAWN  ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 87 and allegedly rain/tstorms/apocalypse for later today, tomorrow, and Tuesday. I will believe that when I go outside and get wet. In a little while we’re goin’ to the good Mexican place for N.O.L. they don’t open until noon. Then, I foresee nappage and sloth the rest of the day.

I still say the hamsters went out for mani-pedis this mornin’. After all, even a hamster wants to look his/her best.

blurf

We went and snarfed down N.O.L. Now we’re back in da cave and all comfy. Up next nappage. Still cloudy out but no rain as of yet.

I, apparently, slept through the hamster walkout. Being West Coast has its advantages.

I slept like crap (technical term). Don’t know why. I eventually got some sleep, and am technically functional.

Unders are laundered and put away. I did the studio work I needed to do. Jeans are in the dryer and **FCD **is watching Redskins/Dallas.

Definitely a quiet afternoon here.

Nappage has been achieved. OYKW has gone to his place for the rest of the day. He’s doin’ laundry and paperirk stuff, bless his heart. He has a really early day tomorrow as well but will compensate by takin’ off earlier. Smart move. Plus, tomorrow night is men’s night over to the church house. Thus I have steaks marinatin’ as well as beer chillin’ in the beerator.

Now I shall surf teh intartoobz.

I made a run to Food Lion and picked up a nice hunk of London broil. Half is in the freezer and the other half is marinating. I also grabbed two nice russets and some sour cream (and other stuff not related to supper.) I’m thinkin’ 'maters and broccoli on the side.

Meanwhile, I’ve got some time to waste with on-line games.

IOW, Sunny’s in a daze. :stuck_out_tongue:
I need to get motivated to get groceries.

Well, that was interesting. Laid down about 6:30PM yesterday and woke up about 1:00am. Sensibly, I went back to sleep until about 5:00am, then got up. Fidgeted about the house until early afternoon, then dined at Red Robin (Yum!). Promised rain has yet to show up, but at least the temperature has been bearable.

Thought about getting a haircut today, but decided to wait another week, it’s getting shaggy, but I have so little I resent having to pay the barbers $15 for 5 minutes work, and put it off as long as I can.
