I stopped to pick up a prescription after irk. I think I’ve found my preferred CVS here in town. The one in Tar-jay doesn’t ask for your CVS reward card (I never used that, as most non-prescription items were waaaay higher than anywhere else), but every ten refills gets you a $5 Tar-jay card. THAT I’ll use. 
Our house in CA officially sold today! All recorded and everything. 
DH is back in CA for work. I’m going to take the kiddos out to dinner.
Howdy Y’all! Dindin got et and then I went to Evening Prayer over to the church house cause that started back this evenin’. I really like the service and am glad it’s back. I am munchin’ on a choco taco as I post. Life is good.
MOOOOOOM, Peaches, Butters, Sari, Red and anyone I might have missed, I use both the rolled and the ball of dough kind. I like both but I make sure there are plenty of the little balls of dough cause I like bitin’ into ‘em. Red One can buy flat dumplin’s in the refrigerated section of the grocery sto’ around here but I don’t like those. When I’m feelin’ particularly lazy, I cut flour tortillas in strips and use 'em as flat dumplin’s. Works pretty well.
Sari I have everything bundled with ATT. Teevee is dish and it does not interfere with my ‘puter at all. I didn’t think I’d like it at first but now I do. It’s DirectTV. I got a deal for the first year and have been able to finagle the same deal since then bein’ as I am such a loyal customer who would just hate to go somewhere else where I can get a better deal.

I did not know there was any such thing as flat dumplings. We always made the fluffy kind and had it with stew or chicken. I shall have to investigate.
We decided to order internet pizza instead of leaving the house. Hopefully it will not be terrible.

Sari, if you take it from someone who is slightly (63) older, there is no minor shit. Hang in there. Like swampy sez, I have Direct TV and it doesn’t interfere a bit with my internet (with another company).
FCM, don’t let FCD go into the meeting mad. Have no idea what happened, but hopefully he’ll get a good night’s rest and things may look better tomorrow.
On the dumpling issue, I am a Kluski egg noodle man and that is that.
Decided to do my laundry today, could have toughed it out till next week when the new washer arrives, but some things were getting short supplied, so I loaded up the car and went to a laundromat for the first time in many years.
$2.50 per load!! Wasn’t expecting that. $0.25 for 5 minutes in the dryer. Spent about $3 on that before I remembered I had a perfectly good dryer at home (Doh!). And slacks cost $5.65 each at the dry cleaners…but at least I’ll be presentable.
Still in the 90’s, but we’re promised that it will start cooling down by the weekend (Only 85F for the high). Oh joy.
Corn and Cheeseburger prepared and consumed, some internet surfing is now on tap.
I watched practice, had lunch with one of my tailgate buddies, and walked Gordie. I cleaned the bathroom after my nap. Making chicken with wild rice blend with green beans and mushrooms. I’m watching the World Cup of Hockey on ESPN. Life is good.
I never got a chance to go get some. I supose I’ll have to come back for some(and a hockey side trip)

Sari I had DirecTV for years with no real problems, even in Missouri with all the blustery weather. I would stick with someone else for Internet/Phone, but we liked DirecTV just fine. Avoid Dish Network, from what I heard from neighbors.
Metal Mouse we did get our asking price. In this market, we had hoped to get more, but I’ll take it. The value went up ~12%, in 3 years. :eek: The Bay Area real estate market is crazy.
I read that as, “Still, in the (19)90’s…” Damn, that’s one looong range forecast!

He was doing better last night. I really think it was a combination of stressors and a bit of unrealistic expectations on his part. Apart from dealing with the pain, he’s worried about his parents, he’s frustrated that he can’t handle standing or walking for more than a few minutes, I’m pretty sure he wishes he could ride his motorcycle, and I know he’s not sleeping well. And on top of that, he’s got to take Higgs to the vet - poor pup seems to have some sort of allergy or skin irritant.
I know he’s been wanting to quit but he also wants to see this one project thru to completion. We talked about his options. I’m sure it’ll go fine. I think they’re all afraid he’ll just quit and leave them with no one else who understands his project. I’ve watched him design it and I don’t understand it entirely… We shall see.
Mel helped me thru the night. But no magic elves came in to straighten out this mess on my desk, so I guess I should get to work. Dammit. At least it’s payday.

Earlier in the week TWPTB said yestiddy, today, tomorrow, and the weekend would be stormy and rainy. :dubious: I shall no longer believe a word they say. Cubed steak ‘n gravy for dindin tonight. I know there shall be smashed N.O.T. but haven’t decided on what else as of yet. Then again, I’m retired so I have all day to figure that out. Laundry is the other thing on the agenda. Plus, I shall be a bear who N.O.L.s. Meetin’ a couple of friends at Five Guys.
OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I suppose I should start laundry. First up will be sheets and other bed stuff. Purtification must also commence as I intend to go about the public.

So remember last week when we lost the television remote and I tore the house apart? New evidence suggests that it is somewhere deep in the recliner mechanism of one couch section. If you sit down there hard enough, the TV thinks you want to go to the I Heart Radio channel - a channel we never went to on purpose even when we had full control of the remote. Since retrieving it would almost certainly require disassembling the couch, we will probably just leave it there. But one of the dogs stepped on it hard enough yesterday that the TV was on when I got home.
The couch was jealous and ate the remote?
I have clean sheets. Soon there shall be clean towels. After that, clean bathroom rugs. The wanders of laundry!
