Can a John Deere LT155 hydrostat transmission be exchanged for a LT180 transmission? I have a LT180 (a newer model), and I’m having transmission problems; I have an older LT155 with a good transmission, and I’m wondering if they can be switched out.
The 155 has a K51, the 180 has a K46… TuffTorq supply various models of K46 … the axle splines and lengths vary, as do the control attachments and so on. So its not said that the K51 and K46 interchange
But your mowers are both JD and very similar … Maybe you can Frankenstein it . The K51 (the working one from the 155 ) is said to be better than the K46
