Luka Rocco Magnotta

Yup, that’s what those long winters and nights will do. Craaaaazy.

You’d better be heavily armed. It’s been a crazy week up here. Besides the Magnotta story, a husband killed his wife and young daughter then shot himself, police shot and killed a guy who had killed two others and barricaded himself in a house, a convicted killer committed suicide in his car on a remote logging road and his body dragged from the car by a bear and partially eaten, and just today there was a shooting spree at a mall in Toronto.

So, how about those Stanley Cup playoffs, eh?

Why the hell did I open this thread

What a freakshow. I was sure he would of been caught by now because he doesn’t appear to be too bright. Last week I heard he was picked up by a mother and her kid hitchhiking towards Ottawa, that immediately made me get up off me arse and close the window on my fire escape I usually leave open. Although he doesn’t appear to be much of a threat at 140lbs with the manicured eyebrows.

Has this guy had his eyes artificially colored? There was a picture of him-his eyes were an impossible shade of blue.
And yes, where is this guy getting the money to travel around? He doesn’t seem to have made much money as a “porn star”.

Yeah, all that travel must have cost him an arm and a leg.

Regards,
Shodan

Dude’s apparently been seen in Paris. Not very bright. Flee from the police of one first world nation by going to another one? When I first hear they thought he’d flown to France I figured it was pretty smart because he could then drive anywhere in the Eurozone. Head east, find some obscure border crossing, get into a former east bloc country where he might even have some contacts if he really was someone in the porn biz.

But no, go to a nightclub in Paris. But I guess if he wasn’t a moron he wouldn’t have recorded himself committing murder in the first place.

How do they know he flew to France? I guess a while back he posted a detailed blog about how to disappear forever, but surely he’s not stupid enough to follow his own script.

Yeah, he probably is.

Well, maybe I had only seen the first wave of reports, before the really twisted stuff migrated off the Internet and onto the news…

You obviously haven’t seen many Canadian movies.

If they’re all anything like Magnotta’s, then I’ll pass.

Presumably he traveled before the body was discovered (the suitcase with the torso was left sitting outside for a few days before being opened); his passport wouldn’t have had any flags before then, since there was no reason to suspect him before discovery of the crime, but would have been entered into the system/flight logs of whatever airline he took.

They got him. Arrested in Berlin a couple of hours ago.

Cool, thanks!

Just a nitpick : born and bred in Ontario. He moved to Montreal about 4 months ago. Cite : http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/1204006–montreal-murder-victim-is-missing-man-from-china-police-say

I’m guessing he’s going to be doing a long time in a mental institution here.

Maybe we can arrange for Magnotta to spend the rest of his days sharing a cell with Anders Behring Breivik.

Where ever he ends up, he won’t be doing much time at all. That’s what I like about the U.S. penal system. A life sentence actually means for the rest of your life. Here it’s you get a shot at parol in 25 years. I can’t see this kook doing anymore than 15 years, if that at all.

With a bit of luck (for us), it’ll take him almost forever to get extradited.

Clifford Olson was never granted parole. Just because he can ask for it after 15 years, it doesn’t mean he will get it.
