Just that one of my closest friends in high school was his niece and god-daughter. My daughter is named after one of his wife Deirdre’s sisters.
My Mam was friends with Ronnie Drew and met Luke a few times. He liked his pints I will tell you that. I saw him a few times when I was a child around Ballybough and Fairview (there is a bridge named after him in Ballybough).
