I dropped by the board this morning for the first time in nearly a month, and of course the first thing I saw was Ed’s announcement about Lynn. I thought I made a post, but it never showed up, so either I screwed up or it was snack time for the hamsters.
Lynn, I’ve spoken with my horde of cats, and they have volunteered to hold a ‘group purr’ for you each evening at bedtime. Hopefully, the well-known healing power of the Purr, multiplied many times, will be available for you to draw on to assist in your recovery.
So, if you feel a strange vibration each evening, don’t waste time worrying - just relax and enjoy it.
Please come back to us soon - it has been a pleasure to share company and conversation with you on the SDMB these few years, and I’m looking forward to many more years of your presence.
Heres hoping that you are feeling better REAL soon. Candles have been lit and rituals held in your honor. Please come back soon. We miss your hardhanded responses.
Complications of diabetes? Yeowtch!
Congestive heart failure? Double yeowtch!
And the whole leg-swollen-up-as-bug-as-the-Lusitania thing can’t be much fun either.
I’d like to send you some get-well chocolates, but since you’re diabetic those would have to be those thick squares of unsweetend baking chocolate, and chomping on unsweetened baking chocolate is only slightly less unpleasant that eating straight coffee grounds. So instead I’ll bop one of those nutcases on the head that’s trying to shut down genetic engineering and stem-cell research, since those two branches of medical research are probably our best bet for finding a cure for diabetes.
