M*A*S*H, a few Q's.

He gets tense when Hot Lips marries Donald and is sent to Tokyo on R. & R. In Tokyo he accosts a blond who turns out to be a general’s wife, along with the general. The M.P.s detain him, but we later find out that “The Army, in its infinite wisdom…” not only released him without charges, but promoted him and transferred him to a Veteran’s Administration hospital in Indianna.

**

I think he was accused of stealing things from around the camp and Charles defended him.

Flagg tries to steal it (after someone else had already tried). Flagg wants to use it to barter for information but Hawkeye and Trapper prevent him from taking it and actually give it to the first thief who turns out to be a medic trying to steal extra drugs for the aid station

The joke answer is that Hawkeye and Trapper use it on Flagg when they take out his appendix in an attempt to keep him on the sidelines.

Keep trying.

  1. Perhaps that’s the name they give it in the show (I’m not sure), but it was IIRC a Sonja Henie film (Potter comments on her skating moves) and she didn’t make a film entitled “The Moon is Blue.” All the ice skating is meant to help everyone “chill out.”

Good, every single question was answered correctly, though some took some time. The movie was “The Moon is Blue”, Burns left clothes to Hot Lips, and Ankh was right about the penicillin Flagg was trying to get(he gets it given to him).

I will now make the questions tougher.

  1. What does Frank Burns’ brother do for a living?

  2. What is Klinger’s ex-wife’s name?

  3. What did Hawkeye leave Hot Lips in his will?

  4. What is the name of Klinger’s favorite Hot Dog joint in Toledo?

  5. Who wrote “The Rooster Crowed at Midnight”?

  6. How old is Blake’s Oak desk?

  7. What town is MAS*H 4077th located in?

  8. What is Radar’s favorite drink?

I think these are harder, but we shall see.

  1. Tony Packos’ (a real place by the way)

  2. 100 years

  3. Grape Nehi (spelling?)

2. What is Klinger’s ex-wife’s name?

Lorraine.

3. What did Hawkeye leave Hot Lips in his will?

His Groucho nose and glasses.

7. What town is MAS*H 4077th located in?

Uijongbu, South Korea.

That takes care of 3 and 7, 4, 6, 8. Scarlett is wrong about Klinger’s ex-wife’s name.

Here’s what remains unanswered.

  1. What does Frank Burns’ brother do for a living?

  2. What is Klinger’s ex-wife’s name?

  3. Who wrote “The Rooster Crowed at Midnight”?

  4. What is the name of Klinger’s favorite Hot Dog joint in Toledo?

Wring, you need to give a fuller answer to the question regarding Klinger’s favorite Hot Dog joint. Packo’s is only part of the name(atleast as stated in the show- I don’t know about the real place).

And, I’m adding these.

  1. What book did Charles give Margaret before she left camp in the final episode?

  2. What was the name of character who was both a surgeon and musician who was in a few early episodes, around season three(Trapper was still there)?

  3. For what position did Klinger take an oath?

  4. What musical did the 4077th receive in place of “The Moon is Blue”?

I think these are pretty hard. I just realized that if you are evil, you could probably just look up all this info. on the web.

Don’t be evil.

Answer out of your memory.

By the way, a lot of these questions come from recent episodes run in syndication near me, so if you watch the show and have the same syndication series, you have an edge.

  1. What is Klinger’s ex-wife’s name? Laverne, I think

I watch this show all the time, but I guess not enough. The only ones I can remember are the ones already answered.

  1. Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s Sonnets from the Portugese.
  2. President of the U.S.A.
    That’s all I know.

Oh, I love this episode. I should know this.
Amanda something?

1. What does Frank Burns’ brother do for a living?[/quote
He sells pet cemetary burial plots.

  1. Lorraine was Henry Blake’s wife…I thought it was Maxine (kinda corny in a cute way Maxwell and Maxine).

  2. Tony Packos Hot Dogs (not to be confused with Adams Ribs, which becomes Hawkeyes obsession).

  3. Isn’t Spearchucker is it? I know he was in the movie and I think a few of the first episodes, but I can’t remember if its him I remember playing guitar.

  1. State Fair?

**

Her last name was Porterfield, but I don’t remember the first name.

**

Tony Packo’s Hungarian Hot Dogs

**

Captain Spalding.

Ankh got the full name of Klinger’s fav. hot dog joint. Lavernne is the correct answer for his ex-wife. Agentakbar got two fairly obscure questions absolutely correct.

Porterfield is the author of “Rooster”. Abigail is the first name, but that’s not really needed. And indeed, Burns’ brother sells pet cemetary plots (good call!!).

Well, you guys got all of them. I will try, yet again, to increase the difficulty.

  1. How much was Ho-Jon’s college tuition?

  2. What federal crime does Margaret commit on Christmas?

  3. Who convinced Father Mulcahy to become a chaplain?

  4. How many episodes is Sidney Freedman in?

  5. What are the names of Radar’s Guinea pigs?

  6. What is Frank’s middle name?

  7. Who is Captain Tuttle?

  8. What does Frank foolishly break in the pilot episode?

Okay, that’s all for now. I’ll be back later on.

2. What federal crime does Margaret commit on Christmas?

Falsifying a death certificate?

7. Who is Captain Tuttle?

An imaginary captain that Hawkeye created. I forget why. I do recall that he did all kinds of glorious things before he had to be “killed.”

5. What are the names of Radar’s Guinea pigs?

I don’t know about the Guinea Pigs, but I think the rabbits are Fluffy and Buster.

$1000

Abigail Porterfield–age 96 and living in Melbourne, Australia.
Here’s another set:

  1. What actor played Col. Alvin (“Howitzer Al”) Houlihan, Margaret’s father?
  2. In the final episode, what song was the Chinese band playing when they followed Winchester back into the camp?
  3. What trick did Hawkeye and the others play on Frank in the episode where Hawkeye was blinded in a stove explosion?
  4. For a down-payment on a home in what city did BJ borrow money from Charles? (Extra: how did BJ pay it back?)
  5. What setup did Hawkeye and the others arrange, to catch the real thief in the episode where Klinger was court-martialed for theft (of the Polaroid camera)?
  6. What actor played Hawkeye’s Navy friend in “38 Across,” (where Hawkeye wanted a crossword-puzzle word)? (Extra hard: what was the word?)
  7. What did Col. Flagg insist the people at the 4077th do just before he left, each time?
  8. In the final episode, what cause Father Mulcahy’s hearing loss?

**

Quintet for Clarinet and Strings by Motzart

**

Don’t know who played the character, but the word was a vantz, a yiddish word for ‘bedbug’.

Close their eyes.

  1. An imaginery “scapegoat.” Tuttle was Hawkeyes imaginery friend in childhood. I believe he and Trapper were doing something (signing something or needed someone to be duty officer or something) while Frank was in charge. Hawkeye brought back Tuttle, and makes him a captain because, afterall, Hawkeye’s a captain. When they have to cover their tracks at the end of the episode, Hawkeye makes up an elaborate hero’s death and even Frank and Hotlips join in tales of what a great guy, soldier and yes, American, Captain Tuttle was; isn’t the final joke that Tuttle receives a silver star or purple heart postumously?

  2. Hawkeye and Trapper’s still, I believe.

  1. I’m pretty sure they staged an “incoming wounded” and all rushed to ER, thus giving the true thief opportunity.

  2. A shell or grenade goes off too close to him while he’s helping rescue/retrieve someone? (I’m not positive because no matter how often I try, I never get to see the final eps completely. PLD keeps promising to buy it on video for me!)

[ASIDE: Anyone remember the few episodes of After MAS*H and which characters appeared in it? I do…do you? ;)]

It was Potter, Father Mulcahy, Klinger and his new Korean bride, right?
