M*A*S*H, a few Q's.

Hmmm… Either you’ve got the wrong name attached to a character, or they used the name Kim Luck in more than one episode.

102. When Klinger went to I-Corps to intercept some papers he had incorreclty sent to them, which other MASH character did he impersonate? *

Radar.

110 Bobby Thompson “The homer in the gloamin’” aka “The Giants win the Pennant, the Giants win the Pennant”

  1. Altman directed the movie; Gelbart directed the show. Thad Mumford is my best guess.

  2. Bobby Thompson’s home run in the 9th inning.

One of the entries in the MASH’s Kentucky Derby Day. Hawk and his Nurse ‘jockey’, IIRC…

thought Moose was a Korean mistress???

Odie - the “Homer in the gloamin’” was Gabby Hartnett, I think. It wasn’t Thompson’s “Shot heard 'round the world”

Faithful to their spouses?
BJ
Margaret
Col. Potter

[quote]

My memory may be faulty on this, but we do know:

  1. Colonel Potter cheated on Mildred once; he admits this to his son-in-law;
  2. Margaret cheated on Donald with Hawkeye (it was a two-part episode, I believe it was called "Comrades in Arms)

regarding BJ, my memory may be faulty on this, but I recall him actually cheating once on Peg (not with the war correspondent (Susan St. James), but with someone else at the camp whose husband was leaving her)

The answer I actually had in mind was Klinger.

I think she was a nurse. I remember this because BJ wanted to write Peg about it, and Hawkeye had a fit and told him not to do it.

  1. What was Frank’s dream the night Hawkeye and Trapper stole his blood?

no one’s gotten this? he thought he was being attacked by vampires. at least I think that’s what happened.

Nope, the bathtub was traded away for ice cream to relieve Radar’s tonsillectomy. Same episode that Klinger dressed up in the rubber suit, and was 1/2 hour away from ‘winning’ his section 8 for being in the suit for 24 hours.

  1. Dutch marine’s mom given a job at the Emabassy in San Fancisco aftet Hawkeye wrote a story about the marine’s plight that appeared in the civilian press.
  2. Moose = Koran mistress
  3. Frank thought “Pioneer Aviation” was a hot stock tip (which was actually fabricated by Hawkeye and Trapper). Frank had told Margret that he would get a divorce if he got rich enough, but backed out on that promise, so in a fit of pique, Margret yelled the name of his “hot stock tip” for all to hear.

I don’t think the accident victim was Kim Luck. I do remember “This must be our Kim Lucky day!” from Hawkeye when the fifth Korean using Kim Luck’s ID card showed up for care…

Dr. Sidney appears in 12 episodes:

In “Radar’s Report”, the first episode where he appears, what was Dr. Friedman’s first name? Why was it changed to Sidney in later episodes?

Nobody got these? Shucks.
101. Margaret yelled, “Put him down! You can’t twirl an officer!”
106. Harvard 1943.
108. Robert Altman. In fact he said he didn’t like the TV series. :frowning:
In re Lim Luck, I stand corrected. I don’t know what the old man’s name was but I stand by what I said was Pat Morita’s description of him.
To Lurkermore: Yes. Charles “Gabby” Hartnett, catcher-manager of the Cubs, hit the homer in the gloaming to win the pennant from the Pirates in 1938.
To Connor and others: Hawkeye and Trapper got the incubator in exchange for Henry Blake’s 100-year-old oak desk. In an episode in later years, Hawkeye and Hunnicutt traded the bathtub–which Hawkeye had bought from “Abalone & Finch”–for a case of 12-year-old Scotch, ten gallons of strawberry ice cream (for Radar after his tonsilectomy), and a can of Spam!

I’m back!!! I was out of town for the weekend and it is very nice to see that my thread has survived, thrived even, while I was gone. Okay, I’m going to compress all the questions that are still active and add some more for you to work on. Pay attention to the numbers I assign the questions now and use them when you repsond. That will keep things from getting even more cluttered. By the way, the correct answer to the question regarding Sidney Friedman’s appearences was 12, as answered by AWB. Good work. I hope you didn’t use the internet to get that answer. :frowning:

The following questions have not been answered correctly yet:

**1. Who convinced Father Mulcahy to become a chaplain? Forth time asked.

  1. What are the names of Radar’s Guinea pigs? Forth time asked. Babette is one of the names. Now we need the other.

  2. What was Frank’s dream the night Hawkeye and Trapper stole his blood? No, it wasn’t about vampires. Second time asked.

  3. In a rather bland episode, Charles falls in love with a French Red Cross woman. What was her deceased boyfriend’s name? Second time asked.

  4. What did Margaret yell at Alex Karras (playing a Marine whom Hawkeye treated) after Karras picked Frank up and started spinning around? Second time asked.

  5. What year did Charles graduate from Harvard? Second time asked.

  6. What did Hawkeye write in Radar’s autograph book? Second time asked.

  7. What were the responses (and by whom) to the notification of Winchester’s assignment to the 4077th? Second time asked. **

I left a couple of questions out that seemed, how do I say, “not up to par”. I don’t mind people asking new questions at all but some were not quite as good as others. Now, let’s add some new ones.

**9. What does Spearchucker call Hawkeye when he sees him dressed up as Sherlock Holmes?

  1. How does Hawkeye get back at BJ for pulling off the “greatest prank” on him?

  2. What does the meal Charles refuses to share with Hawkeye and BJ consist of? I will tell you this. It has four parts to it.**

Again, I hope everyone has fun working on these questions. Keep up the good work!

You’ll find the answers to these in my post just before yours, Mahaloth.

Unfortunately, you’re confusing the episodes. In “To Market, To Market” Hawkeye and Trapper concoct a deal in which they exchange Henry’s recently arrived antique desk for a shipment of hydrocortizone. The deal is made with a Korean black marketeer played by Jack Soo.

“The Incubator” is the episode in which they attempt to get the aforementioned item for the camp. Hawkeye and Trapper accost Henry in an attempt to get him to requisition an incubator so they would be able to do their own cultures instead of having them sent to the lab in Seoul. While Henry thinks it’s a grand idea, he’s too involved with his new Grill/BBQ to become too enamoured of the quest. They go to Seoul in an attempt to get one from the supply depot. The officer in charge resents them, since he “never made more than ten thousand dollars a year in my life. I was a gynecologist at a women’s prison.” Onward and upward they go, stopping to attempt to convince a (I think) colonel who was so deep into the black market he was mailing Korea home, one doggy bag at a time. Rebuffed once again, our faithful heroes then crash a press conference held by a general, leading to such stellar lines as “This is a press conference, the last thing I want to do is answer a lot of questions!” and “Give me an incubator or give me death!” After being returned to the somewhat indifferent custody of the barely concious Henry, they go off to drown their failure in a dry martini at the Swamp when they are pulled aside by Radar who proudly shows off the new incubator he has somehow obtained in exchange for Henry’s new grill.

The description was pretty much correct, and his name is “Wang”. “What’cha got here Henry is the famous Whiplash Wang.” The episode is “Deal Me Out”.

[sub]See what happens when the local affiliate runs double episodes of MAS*H after school lets out in a person’s impressionable teenage years? That’s just sad, all I looked up were the episode names.[/sub]

The wacko Col. Steele?. (If no one has already answered this one.)
