So, nobody will believe that pop can tops are made out of higher-grade aluminum than the rest of the can, and can be recycled into prosthetic arms & legs for paraplegic children, now that McDonald’s is firmly behind the story?
When I was in High School, I bought a big bag of M&M’s and a couple small ones. Opened the small ones carefully, the big bag not so carefully. Counted how many M&M’s were in the small bags, and put that many green M&M’s into one small bag and glued it shut. Took it to a party, tossed it to a girl with a ‘bad reputation,’ and took off. She was pretty pissed, in a humorous sort of way.

And tracer has it right. Tom Monahan, the founder, former CEO and majority (and I think for a long time, sole) stockholder of Domino’s chose to give away many of his millions to anti-abortion groups (actually to a personal foundation, which then gave away, &ct.).
Bain Capital is now the majority holder of Domino’s. I forget whether Monahan has a little or a lot of stock left. He does/did get a consulting fee as part of the buyout.
If anyone needs the full details, Domino’s is now a filing company, and their financials are available on the SEC’s website.

I’ve never understood that particular kind of boycott anyway. I mean, no one asks their dry cleaner who he gives his profits to, right? Or the doctor? Seems like too-easy feel-goodism to me.
Well, let’s see. According to the The Center for Responsive Politics, Carl seems to be somewhat parsimonious in his political giving, having only parted with some $5200 to political entities since 1999 (parsimonious for a millionaire, that is; I would have expected a member of the Orange County Lincoln Club to have gone the limit for folks like Jim Rogan --think “impeachment manager”), and some woman who shares his last name and ZIP code also gave $750 to the Republican Central committee of Orange County.
Couldn’t find any docuumented connection to Operation Rescue (now calling themselves “Operation Save America”, on the national level).
My dry cleaner supports a small well-armed cadre in Greenpoint who are planning the violent overthrow of the capitalist running-dog U.S. government. And my GP gives his money away to the hungry workers in the fields.

Don’t know if it’s made it into the ranks of ULs, but SweeTarts REALLY work for this purpose!! Yummy yummy yummy!!! Maybe it’s anything with that artificial citrusy flavor. Someone should definitely do some research on this.
Thats nuthin’ - in last months issue of STUFF magazine, there was a full page ad for M&M’s with the word SEX written with green M&M’s. I guess the TV Guide crowd is too conservative for the DIRECT marketing campaign.
