So MSN crashed yesterday evening; when I tried to log back in it said I needed to update or I couldn’t run it anymore. I clicked on the ‘download’ button and it downloaded, so far so good.
But now it has downloaded itself as a volume on my desktop and refuses to be moved, as volumes will. Why did it do this and can I fix it? It’s not a major problem but it is ugly and doesn’t make any sense.
FWIW, I have a PowerBook G4 running system 10.3.7.
MSN for OS X is kinda buggy, its gotten better with the more recent versions mind you…I’m not sure exactly how to solve your problem but the appleinsider.com Genius Bar forum could probably help if no one comes along in here.
Also you should consider checking out Adium, a free multi-protocol OS X Messenger/E-mail Notification client that works well.
good luck.
So there really are people outside Microsoft campus who use this software! Who knew?
Er, yeah, I certainly don’t want to defend the software, but for some reason it is very popular over here.
I will definitely check out Adium, though.
Seriously, why would something do this?
