fuck! since the new year, msn messenger has been crashing every few days, often staying down for up to a day at a time. and guess what? its down again.
fuck! get a decent server or something micro$oft. and maybe try running it off somebody else’s software, cause yours ain’t cutting it. jeez.
i mean, once in a while, shit happens. i can understand that. but fuck! this down for a day twice a week thing is getting sad.
And I thought my internet was just fucked up again. Happy (sort of) to know it isn’t just me. MSN is a piece of shit anyways, but normally it at least connects.
It is somewhat incredible that Microsoft, the richest company on the planet, dedicated to taking over the entire computing universe, can’t get their own servers to work correctly. Have you ever tried to use a hotmail account? What an annoying, buggy site that is!
It may be buggy, but I’ve had it for years and I don’t see any reason I need to switch. Unlike my last e-mail account, which I lost when the site went out of business. Unlike some people, I prefer to change my address as little as possible.
MSN is back up–for now at least. On the upside, I won’t be home tomorrow, if something happens it won’t bother me a bit.
I have a very good friend in Germany that I love to chat with. We use ICQ for text, and MSN for occasional video, because MSN is so freaking undependable. We can manage a connection videowise about once a month=\
Supposedly you are supposed to be able to video and voice chat at the same time, but we have NEVER managed to get the voice part working at all…and he is a computer geek for a living [he was a network/server geek for arlt just before this new job]
ICQ does have its problems…but at least we can connect!
Actually in retrospect, AIM didnt work, Yahoo didnt work, MSN barely works occasionally and ICQ doest have voice/video chat=(]
yeah it’s back up now, and this outage wasn’t as long as the last few have been, but i still think it’s a piece of shit.
if only i could convince my contacts to switch to a more reliable messenger type program. but everybody stays with msn cause everybody else is staying with msn.
Down for me as I type. What really chaps me is that the messages that are sent, as to why you can’t be connected, are big lies, insinuating that the problem is with you or your computer. Grrrr. “Be sure you are connected to the Internet” or “You may be behind a firewall that blah blah blah”
