Mac Q: what the hell does this Safari popup mean?

It says something about “insert keychain” and “autofill” and my default email address. The options it gives are “deny”, “allow once”, and “always allow”. It’s seemlingly random and I always have to click “deny” twice before it goes away. I don’t want to click “always allow” without knowing what it’s asking me. I’m relatively new to Mac and Safari…and this popup just started when we updated the op. system.

Any idea how I can make it go away?

It’s asking if you want to:

A) Place it in the keychain- the Apple utility to allow you to open stuff with having to keep entering your passwords.

B) Autofill online name and address forms- you type the letter or two and it completes the line so you don’t have to.

C) Deny=no / allow once=do it now and ask me the next time / always allow=do it now and until further notice (you can change this stuff in your preferences).

Bingo

If you’re the only user of your Mac, and no one you distrust has access to it, it’s a very useful option to have Safari autofill user IDs and passwords.
