Macbook help

OK, I must have done something without realizing it because my Macbook is all wonky.

When I move my finger on the touchpad, the screen scrolls, which it shouldn’t do.

When I close out of Firefox, and try to move around on the screen, a see through box is drawn on the screen.

When I try to click on anything, I have to click 3, 4, 5 times before anything happens.

Simply moving the cursor highlights text, which I think is the same function as the box getting drawn.

Any thoughts?

Yes.
You have Zoom turned on.
Go to System Preferences->Universal Access and turn it off.
You might also want to check the options and turn off “Use scroll wheel …”

Some button on the keyboard is stuck?

Sounds to me like you’re resting one finger on the mouse pad (thumb?) while using another finger to move around, which will perform all the behaviors you describe.

This is By Design and a feature I love for surfing. Hold your right thumb on the mousepad and scroll your index finger up and down = scroll the page up and down w/o having use arrow keys / position the mouse on the scrollbar. Very handy.
