You can’t make any assumptions about price. The article just says “Starting at $2.99/3.” For all we know, a box of 10 wings could be $3.05. It also says that these wings are bigger than average, so the price isn’t really out of line.
Now see what you’ve done. You’ve made me defend McDs.
Chicken wings used to be garbage meat, available for about the price of the cheapest hamburger if not less. They now go for more per pound than drumsticks or bone-in breasts, and sometimes even boneless chicken breasts.
McD’s farming 6-winged chickens in Bolivia won’t change that.
Yeah, I know of places with $0.35, $0.25 wings. I can’t see how these are a bargain, unless maybe it’s a whole real wing life off of a roaster chicken.
Free wings for drinkers? I have never heard of that in my life. Many bars charge you for wings. Most bars don’t even have free peanuts, rarely free popcorn.
I will take that bet times two… but I don’t claim they will keep that price point. I know that McDonalds does their research and are much more educated on the market than anyone here may claim.
True. Living here in the area where the whole thing started I remember when ten cent wings were the standard price and you’d sometimes see a promotion for nickel wings.
