Mach 3 razor

I’m surprised no females have jumped in on this yet - the Mach 3 is the best LEG shave a woman can get.

I didn’t believe this until a friend - whose leg hairs you can feel sprouting by the second, two hours and it’s like running your hand over sandpaper - let me in on her little secret. The first two blades get the hairs that really stick out but the third, my god the third! It gets all the little wispy, soft, fuzzy or otherwise downy hairs that the lady disposable bic always misses!

There is a female version of the Mach 3 and it’s called Venus, but it had the most frickin annoying commercial song ever conceived by man and it justdoesn’tworkaswell. It is, however, just as expensive.

On a related note, I’ve found that Right Guard gel deodorant beats the CRAP our of my Lady Secret protection - and no white mess!

Isn’t the Gillette Venus exactly the same, just in a girly pastel colour?

I have a question about aftershave. I’ve never used it, but there are those days when my face feels raw and, well, scraped after a shave. Aftershave is supposed to soothe and calm this feeling? If so, I would be willing to give it a try. My wife bought me some stuff years ago because she liked the scent, but I think it’s more cologne than aftershave as it kind of stung when I put it on. Or is that the right feeling for an aftershave? I don’t like cologne or such things so I kind of let it just fall into the back of the closet.

Please educate me on the proper uses and application of aftershaves.

From what I understand, it helps with the redness, the dryness and the cleansing and closing of pores after a shave and also as a fragrance.
I just put a dime sized amount in my palm, rub my palms together and then pat my face with it.
I use American Crew shave cream as I find it’s the best for getting a clean, painless shave.

Also check out Askmen.com on their article about aftershave.

DTT, if you don’t like the strong smelling stuff that stings, try this product. It has a very light, clean scent and it is very soothing to the skin.

Geez, no thanks. I still feel ripped off from the first razor. I could buy 80 Mach3 blades for that kind of money. It’s way too much to spend on something you can’t try before you buy.

They sent seal_jr. one for his, too. Wish he’s master it - right now he goes for the scraggly adolescent fuzz look.

Ya, I think it’s pretty much the same thing, but I’ve used both and the Venus seems to have some kind of “comfort strip” or pad on the head of the razor that surrounds the blades at least 1/2" on all sides, thus dimishing the super smooth effect. Mach 3 seems to give a much closer shave.

Or maybe I’m just one of those anti-girly anything people that subconsciously opts for masculine products, allowing aggressive consumerism to subversively convince me that anything made for a man will be stronger/better/more effective than something made for a woman. “Ph Balanced” my ass! The crap don’t work!
