Was this a group therapy session? Did it take place in a courtroom? Jail? When you say “huge auditorium,” do you mean 20,000? 2,000? 200? 20? Why were all these mental cases gathered together in one location? What do you mean by “unwanted psychiatric intervention”? How does that happen? Did somebody suggest they needed counseling and it embarrassed them?

You’re using some vague hyperbole here, much in machinaforce’s style, and it doesn’t look good on you.

So why didn’t you just say you went to a NARPA conference? You said you had a “bad experience with psychiatry.” How did attending that conference do that to you? Are you talking about this part?

Yeah, it says I’m not dumb enough to fall for every online sob story.

I’ve got enough experience with both attempted and actual suicide in my life, as well as enough experience with trolls, not to bother with deciding whether ever online threat is real or not. I left that up to the mods.

Funny how he vanished from my PMs as soon as the mods get involved, though…

PMs are no different than thread posts in terms of the board rules. I’ll *happily *report a PM, and I’ll *happily *share a PM.

Just because they have “private” in their name does not make them some sort of therapist-patient confidential communication. Trolling in PMs (and this is not the first PM troll I’ve encountered) only benefits from your dumb attitude. PMs are not medical records.

Others *should *know, in case he pulls the same shit with them. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
