I’m sure this has been pointed out before, but has anyone else noticed the lack of a sound track and how that enhances the show? You focus more on the characters and what they’re saying than on some spooky music in the background. This also adds to the “stage play” like atmosphere of this show.
He comments to Peggy that the elevator was “like a rocket” so I took it to be a combination of LOTS of drinking and a queasy elevator ride. He might have just been making excuses, though.
It seems like it takes quite a bit to make the characters puke. Roger had to drink, stuff his face with oysters AND cheesecake AND climb umpteen flights of stairs; Betty had to find out Don was sleeping with Bobbie Barrett (that would have done it for me!); Sally just had to eat Henry Francis’s mom’s cooking.
