Mad-Men Final Season to be split in 2!

Bingo!

What interest I’ve had in this show has dwindled to the point of me most likely not watching when it resumes in 2014. If they split the final season in 2, I won’t watch either one.

Shooting it all in one block is a lot easier to schedule, since the talent will be off doing other things. I assume the reason they split it is because the the first episode of season B will get a lot more attention than if it was the 8th episode of Season A.
If they were smart they’d have a sub-climax.

Now - will everyone involved keep the ending secret for over a year?

You mean that it all turns out to be Pete Campbell’s dream? Oops!!
<Thelma claps hand over mouth>

Baby Gene, autism, snow globe.

Or worse; imagine AMC’s reaction if an episode get’s leaked to file sharing sites. :stuck_out_tongue:

Gets shouldn’t have an apostrophe.

Y’know, I’ve only got so many years LEFT. I hope I can live long enough to see the last episodes in f’ing 2015. :mad:

Next thing you know, they’ll be wanting to stretch The Hobbit out over three years!

Perhaps they should just air one episode per year for the next 14 years - biggest bang for Emmy nominations and high ratings once a year?

Geez - this is like eating one potato chip and then putting them back and maybe having another one potato chip next month.

And somehow I see a “cliffhanger” at the end of the first seven episodes to torture you further in waiting for the following seven episodes a year later…

I think the new thing will be early paid streaming of season and series finales. So for example, you could get Breaking Bad two days early for $20 on Amazon or iTunes that comes with behind the scenes stuff, etc. I would pay a decent amount to see the BB finale now.

And just imagine the DVD sales!

Over this last week, I’ve been burning my way through this show after years of indifference.

These people are jerks.
