Madchen Amick, one of my favorite obscure celeb crushes.

Madchen Amick!
First saw her in Twin Peaks (she’s in the new one) and always recognize her when she appears in other shows. Most recent sightings were* Mad Men* and Californication. Looking at her IMDb entry, she’s a very busy girl, works consistently from TP to present.
Still looks smashing!

She’s one of mine too. But most of the young women on the show were too.

Totally. Same wih Joan Severance, before she got too Playboy and B-Movie…

I had to Google Joan Severance to remind myself what she looks like. Yeah…nice!

I recently took a trip down memory lane and watched some clips of 80s crime drama “Wiseguy”. Joan Severance was on that show for a while and… damn!. When she first meets Vinnie (Ken Wahl), she’s wearing this tight, backless dress, and Ken Wahl’s eyes about pop out of the sockets. Holy smokes.

My slightly obscure crush from the mid 90s was late night news caster Thalia Assuras. I just thought she was really attractive and slyly funny. She was on at something like 2:00 AM and had this air of “I don’t care, no one’s watching” that made me love her.

BTW, “Wiseguy” wasn’t a bad show. But some of the acting was really cheesy. Still, seeing early Kevin Spacey was cool.

I was in high school when Twin Peaks came on, and I got into some fierce arguments over Madchen Amick. I swore she was the best looking woman on the show, but everyone else said it was Sherilyn Fenn. Bah.

I watched Sleepwalkers and Dream Lover just to see her. Yuck. After that, I decided that I’d had enough.

*My Own Worst Enemy *was kind of fun. I mostly remember her in that.

I watched Joey (!) just to see her.

Peggy Lipton was kind of at her peak during TW. too.

Hey, Sherilyn Fenn gave whole new meaning to the title “Twin Peaks.”

I don’t remember if it was on her watch, but late one night they gave all the hockey scores multiplied by pi.

Plus there was the World News Polka.

Awesome! One time she and her co-host sat in big recliners, ate popcorn, and did movie reviews. But the reviews were based solely on the short TV trailers. They’d watch the trailer and make an offhand remark like, “yeah, I’d probably see that one.” And that was it. It was great.

I’m glad to see Amick hadn’t had drastic surgery on her face.

Here’s an interview with Ms. Amick from September. Intelligent and well-spoken. Good for her.

Uncool! No picture links work for me!

Yeah, she made that show semi-watchable.

Huh, They worked yesterday not working for me now either.

Miriam F. Glover

She played Betina in Django Unchained.

The one who asks Django "You mean, you wanna dress like that ? "
