I can’t believe that this game uses werewolves, but the subject line says “Mafia.” As someone who much prefers the werewolf flavor to this game, I think that sux utterly.

Heh. You know, we always take for granted that role assignments will be given randomly, but I think it might be really fun as a moderator to assign roles non-randomly, just based on mod preference. Of course, the degree of meta-gaming that would create would be overwhelming, but wouldn’t it be kinda fun?
I have an idea for a true bastard mod game that works with that kind of thing. Maybe my next crack at the offboard site I will run it. It’s sort of a “the mod is also a player” kind of idea, and figuring out what the mod is doing is as much a part of the game as anything else. Basically take the opposite of “the rules are the rules and games should be black and white” philosophy of game running.

At the moment, the odds are 1 in 17/x, where x represents the number of scum in the game (unless we’re talking about him having a Godfather role again[assuming there is one in this game], in which case were talking about straight-up 1 in 17 odds).
Still…it would be asploding-head-worthy.
I’m ready to start if you all are. Keep in mind that I subscribe to the sachertorte School of Modding. Rules are rules. If anyone is going to be unable to meet the 4 posts per day rule because of a vacation, they will be Modkilled or replaced. Better to bow out now, in my opinion.

What is it with this place?
I’m very iffy on if I’m going to be able to make the 4 posts requirement while I’m on vacation. I’m sure there will be internet somewhere at where I’m going, but I’m not sure how much time I’m going to have to go to those places.
If there is a sub that’s really itching to play I can switch places with them and take a seat on the sub bench instead. Otherwise, they may get to replace me anyway.
