I have been struggling with how to handle fubbleskag’s and Babale’s situations this close to endgame. In light of fubbles’ intent to continue to play, I have decided to do nothing; I will adhere to MHaye’s ruling in my absence. Both remain in the game and can be acted upon or voted for at your collective discretion.
Sorry to frustrate people; I myself am extremely frustrated. In light of a variety of circumstances, I am working at the limit of my time and energy right now and losing ground has been inevitable. I will be on an extended break from Mafia in general once this game has ended, so here we go.
Dawn, Day Eight
*Just before Dawn. wombat99 turns the corner and walks to the town square, carrying the butcher knife he took from Pleonast days ago.
CUT TO - texcat, facing wombat99 from across the square.
CUT TO - wombat, raising his blade.
CUT TO - texcat, her eyes suddenly glowing a fierce yellow.
CUT TO - wombat, vindicated and triumphant.
CUT TO - texcat, now armed with seven-inch-long claws.
CUT TO - wombat, a bit less triumphant.
A pause. They charge, screaming. Fade to black.
Dawn breaks. Lightfoot, Meeko, Babale, and fubbleskag stand in a small circle. They stare at one another balefully. It is clear that business is unfinished.*
wombat99, the Grave Robber, a Town Backup, is dead
texcat, the Werewolf Goon #1, is as well.
Day Eight begins here. It will end on Saturday, March 23, at 2:00PM, unless the living players vote by unanimous consent to end it earlier.

dude. it’s endgame, and babale’s confirmed town, so from your POV it’s either me or Lightfoot, so you need to decide which and vote accordingly.
frankly, if you flip town I’m inclined to consider your attitude throughout this game borderline game-throwing and will probably avoid future games with you.

I wish I could ask wombat what he meant by this, it vexes me. if I didn’t come back there would be 2 town and 1 scum, which would be a mylo situation but the game wouldn’t be over. or am I missing something related from an earlier post?
This assumes I actually want to play Mafia any more after this.

Frankly, you are trying to make a case against me with your “Meeko threw the game” nonsense.
Second, you made the fatal error of calling it “MYLO” just as your scumpatriot used it. You should know better than this, but I think it’s a relative of PIS, you are so used to using MYLO on the scum board, you used it over here in error.
being absent due to real life is something that happens to all of us at some point or another and is generally out of our control; it’s a known risk we assume when we sign up for the game.
this is different from being present but not bothering to put forth an effort, which is well within your control.
now that I’ve explained the difference between the two, even though I have no reason to believe for even a second you don’t already know the difference, would you please go back and take the time to answer the game related portion of my post.
if I were inclined to make a case against you, it would have included a vote. my comment about potentially not playing with you in the future was oog; I suppose I should have waited until after the game or kept it to myself entirely - but, too late for that.
I haven’t voted because I’m not yet sure which of you is the last remaining scum; to be honest, I’m leaning town on you at the moment - the violent emotional reaction to my comment is something I would expect from a legitimately frustrated townie, not a conniving scum.
I am curious to hear the thought process on how you connect my use of a standard game term to automatically being scummy, though - care to elaborate?
