With a bit of luck I’ll actually make Bard tonight:

This means-

a) If you attack and kill me you’re an utter bastard when you know I’ve wanted to see what it does all game.

b) Bards are good, as anyone who’s a fighter will already know.

c) In a bunch of D&D and related games, bards can identify items (especially artefacts), as keepers of the lore of their age. I have no idea whether it will be the case here. If you vote me the dragon fang, it will keep it out of harm’s way, and possibly get it analysed.

I wish I knew somebody I trusted implicitly as an alternative vote. I’m a bit too wary of the “coming back a bit skewed from the dead” scenario to give it to Guiri or Gad. I don’t want to give it to a neutral, and we seem to have quite a few of them.

Speaking of which, Choie, are you neutral? (Clerics are neutral, and you claim healing powers)

I’m down with that, but I want GuiriEnEspana getting an item, so…

Ruby Pendant: Silver Jan
Black Bracer: GuiriEnEspana

There we go.

** beryl bracer: lightFoot
Dragons fang: Gad
Green bow: septimus **

I don’t think **choie ** needs or can even carry both bows.

The players vying for the dragons fang concern me. (I’d love to have it but that’s not going to happen this late in the Day)
so I’ll trust Gad for the moment
I’ve forgotten eoD again

oh well if somebody actually wants it -
unvote Ruby Pendant; Ruby Pendant: Silver Jan

For this very reason, you’re safe from me toDay. I totally understand really wanting to see a role. The Dragon’s Fang sounds powerful, though, so I’m not going to vote it to you.

To be clear I think the dragon’s fang could be dangerous in the wrong hands. I know I would not use it for evil- hence my comment about wanting to have it.
of the players in the running for said item I’m more inclined towards ** Gad **

I’m down with Gad getting the Dragon’s Fang.

Dragon’s Fang: Gadarene

Was EOD 5pm Sat??

I’m worried about the fang too! (But that’s why I voted myself for it)
I would previously have loved to trust Gad too. I’m just worried re the resurrectees. If people won’t trust me with it I’ll consider Gad as a second option tho. At least he’s someone I trusted up until death.

This is a subject that has been contentious in the past. There are 2 types of third party roles. Some, like the survivor role, are called Win Inclusive. They win with either town or scum and don’t prevent a team from winning. Sometimes people refer to these players as Third Party. The other type, such as a serial killer, are called Win Exclusive. They steal the win, and prevent any other teams from winning. They are sometimes called Plays For Keeps, or PFK. The conventional wisdom says lynching a Third Party is a mislynch, while lynching a PFK is not. If there’s a game with 16 players, 4 are mafia, 1 is a survivor and 11 are town, lynching the survivor on the first day is functionally equivalent to starting the game with 15 players.

Scathach is claiming that her role is not one that is considered a threat to town. Since town wins by eliminating its threats, lynching her does not advance town’s wincon. Having a kill or not is sort of irrelevant. A vig has a kill and is definitely a mislynch. It’s a matter of how does the lynch affect the game state.

Thanks for the explanation.

I think though that in this game keeping her around is making it worse for town at the very least because:

  • too much lying is at the very least keeping too much of our attention
  • she’s already admitted to chaotic evil. She’s saying she’s not original scum team, but chances are she’s effective scum by now.
  • if she doesn’t get lynched, she’ll probably NK a townie (Guiri’s pretty likely a townie, and seems her main target). So we’ll be down one extra for her survival.

:stuck_out_tongue: Well, I might be a crap player, but I’m as trustworthy as they come. I’ve been really up front with you guys. We might have known what it does by Dawn. Oh well, I can’t stay up any longer to try and convince you. I’ll try to set a pre EOD alarm in case people change their mind, but if it’s really only 4 hours away I’m not sure I’ll wake.

unvote Dragon’s Fang; Dragon’s Fang: Gadarene

Thanks septimus! As mentioned below, though, maybe you can change the Green and Blue Bow votes? I mean you can do as you like, obviously, but I don’t need both bows, and I don’t know if LightFoot has any offensive weapons, so I’m happy for her to have one (assuming she’s Town, obv.).

OOG: NYC, and it’s not even unseasonably warm, but my apartment was stuffy as hell last night for some reason. I had to keep the window closed because traffic was unbelievably noisy last night. (I’m right near the lead-up to the Queensborough Bridge, so when that’s clogged, the traffic backs up on East 58th street for like five blocks.) When summer comes, it’s probably still not has hot as Thailand, but it’s probably almost as uncomfortable. The steel canyons here in the city trap the heat and humidity like a mofo. (The only good thing about summer in the city here is that so many people leave over the weekends, it gets blissfully quiet for a change.)

Can I have your life? That sounds awesome.

Sooooo evil Visorslash was looking for something of ultimate power, and you’d rather have Scum or a third party get it than Town? Yeowch. That’s your self-signed death warrant right there. Also, honestly, I won’t believe you’re a Knight of any kind considering you don’t have two votes. Unless you just became Knight Today? (But if that were the case you’d’ve corrected Guiri’s vote count.) So, yeah.

Not a cleric, nope. To avoid quoting from my PM, I’ll just say I have nothing in common with Switzerland’s traditional stance, nor do I share an alignment with Visorslash. Also, I am quite obedient when it comes to the laws of the land, almost boringly so.

Looking at all of the above item votes, I’ll add the following to my previous self-interested vote:

**Beryl Bracer: Tanaer
Black Bracer: Glee
Beryl Ring: Astral Rejection
Green Bow: LightFoot
Dragon’s Fang: Silver Jan
Ruby Pendant: Silver Jan
**

Tanaer gets the Bracer because apparently that helps defensively, and she said she needs it, and hey, I’m a musician (or was) so Bards are a-okay in my book.

Glee gets his Black Bracer to make up for the loss of his helm. Whatever that was.

Astra gets the ring because well, he wants it so what hell, and I trust him.

LightFoot gets the green bow because I think she wanted it. Or I could be mistaken.

I’m extremely leery of the Dragon’s Fant; it really sounds more like a curse than an object someone good can use. But if I’m gonna trust anyone with it, it’ll be Silver Jan, because I rather like having her around. She also gets the ruby pendant because she wanted it, and I owe her.

I would’ve voted something to Guiri except I’m pretty sure he has a lot of things already, so might as well spread the wealth.

Finally: thanks MHaye for pitching in beyond the grave with the vote count!

What the hell is a Dragon’s fant? Nimrod. I meant Fang, obviously.

It was already being voted to me, I might as well toss my own vote in for it.

Unvote Bows.
