How can we note that he seems powerful, when the guy is creepily lurking around and hasn’t claimed any actions in 1000+ posts except to vote an item to someone else yesterday? Now that’s power , baby!

My feeling that fubbles is powerful is based partly on that “item” (the One True Ring ? :dubious: ). I worry that his relative invisibility is similar to that of Gollum – he’s got the True Ring and needn’t worry about anything.

And now Astral is claiming the successful attack on fubbles . Good grief. So we have three attacks, two of which were definitely magic and unsuccessful, one possibly non-magic with a bolt, which was successful. (I say “possibly” because a “bolt” could be a lightning bolt, couldn’t it? Or does it mean something else? What kind of weapon fires a bolt?)
So four claimed attacks and only three listed attacks; of these, there were three claimed magic attacks, and only two listed magic attacks.
Astral seems trustworthy to me. But between Guiri ’s “joke” smudge and Gadarene ’s creepy silence, I’m now worried about the revived folks and the choices they’ve made. Especially since my suspicion appears to be right about this game being about people’s choices.
That’s why I disagree with glee . I remain convinced that this game is about the corruption of good (or at least neutral) people, whether in search for power or some other motivation. Weedy probably held Phere’s chains to start with, which is why she was Very Evil, but maybe she wasn’t an inherently “bad” person, sort of like… if Luke had chosen the Dark Side in RoTJ; eventually someone usurped her – which seems to be the only explanation for Phere turning against her that makes sense, unless the demon temporarily freed himself – and the usurper was gradually turned more and more Evil. I wonder if that person was PetW , whose weird non-reveal still hasn’t been explained; maybe he held control for such a short time that he didn’t have time to turn completely scummy. Next came Visorslash , and again he was killed by the demon or someone who now had control of Phere. Now Scathach , who didn’t have time to hunt down the demon to do her dirty work because finally we lynched someone before they got the chance. There have certainly been people, at least fictionally, who were turned Evil and angry at the world due to the loss of a loved one. Actually isn’t that Anakin/Darth’s arc in the Star Wars prequels?
So my theory remains that I don’t think there is an official Scum team. I think it’s all individuals who decide to be evil, and thus “scummy.” In fact, didn’t somewhere Pizzaguy say that no one would be corrupted/recruited against his or her will ? If so, this backs my theory up IMHO.

Hi, everybody! I’m back, but I’m still in Turkey for the next week or so, so my participation will be limited. I’m also still a Lawful Good Town ranger, so the theory about us resurrected people coming back as scum (while an intriguing possibility that I was looking forward to testing the validity of when I opened my resurrection PM) is not true in my case. I’m the same as before, minus some hit points and my bow.
I join in the puzzlement at the apparent closeness of endgame – how would the math work out, given the deaths last night and assuming that I’m Town – to put us at lylo or close to it? How many more scum are we likely looking at?
I had some suspicions after my death, but when charlie flipped neutral they weren’t borne out. Is PetW still in play? Has he even posted since Day Two?

He (he?) was killed a few Days ago, and for some reason flipped… neither good nor bad, neither town nor scum. His flip was “obscure” or some such lingo. I’ve brought this up a couple of times because it’s weird as hell and it’s the only such death that resulted in no alignment reveal whatsoever. But oddly no one seems to care about this.
So far the only “one-off” flippers have been, as far as I can tell, Weedy (Very Evil), PetW (???), and Visorslash (Evil). I would assume this indicates… something. But hell if I know exactly what .

Jesus, chill the fuck out. Everything feels like it’s a few weeks ago in this game. I’m glad you’re on vacation, have a great time. Don’t feel obligated to play just because someone* decided you were worth reviving as an asset, heaven knows why.
(* Gotta be Phere. He’s sadistic enough!)
I need to submit my night action for toNight, if it’s not too late to do so. Can people suggest a good target for me to try and track? I’m very behind on the game.
Gadarene, I’d suggest tracking Story or Inner Stickler.
