No, glee and I don’t count as resurrected players. We’re, ideally, no different from a new person coming in and picking up a role for an overwhelmed player. There was no resurrection mechanic involved in our becoming realitytrip or whoever glee is playing for.

Hey! I resemble that remark!

1. Both Gadarene and I made a ‘return’ to the game.

2. I said the circumstances were different.

3.I thought better minds than I might spot something.

4. I have nothing to do at Night.

A distinction should be made between player and character. Gadarene and Glee, the player made a return to the game. Gadarene the character did as well, but glee the character did not. Resurrection mechanics deal with characters, not players.

My first character was night-killed. Was there any reason to pick me?
I had declared I was a Soldier with an item.
Here are the relevant (slightly shortened) posts for analysis (including one by Weedy, the only ‘very evil’ character so far:

The first time my vote + unvote wasn’t in bold, so it didn’t count.
I also asked for information about a magic item I possess (which led to some discussion.)

Also my vote puts me up a level, so it’s not meaningless.
The rules for this game are complicated, but I’m trying to get the most out of them.
I have this magic item (and others may well have similar stuff.)
The item may well be important, but I don’t know what it does.
Others may know, so I ask for help.
Certainly doing nothing about the item until the game ends isn’t going to help.
The primary function of the Town is to lynch traitors.
However Day One is the time when we have least information.
I haven’t seen anything worth mention (just cheese jokes, pseudo-cryptic analysis; minor feuds…)
If somebody hasn’t posted near day end, I’ll vote for them. Even if they’re Town, they’re not contributing.

There is way more information here than I can process.
Two things stick out to me:

1. From what Astral has said, it looks like glee took half damage from a Soldier attack. He may have absorbed it from protecting someone, or been protected himself. Either way I find it pretty suspicious that someone who voted with no reasoning behind it has strong enough reads to choose to defend someone, or enough supporters to get defended, unless they were Scum.

1. I didn’t protect anyone
   (If I had, it would have meant I took 50% of the damage they would have taken.)
   I didn’t attack the Demon either.
2. I’ve already declared I’m a Soldier.
   (I also would like my Pendant identified, but don’t have enough money to pay for it. And unless someone protected me, perhaps it’s a Protection device?)
3. Unless a Townie (or three!) comes forward to claim they cast the last-minute lynch votes, I assume it was the Traitor(s) and therefore they were protecting their own. That means the one or more of the leaders of the lynch voting just before that are traitors.
4. From my D+D experience, I assume the Demon is unkillable by us. :smack:
   There is also an alignment change for certain attacks.
   If I (Lawful Good Soldier) attack the Demon Lord, do I change alignment?
   How do I heal my damage?

I’ve thought of an idea for a movie, but I’m not a scriptwriter. choie, you’re a writer, right? How does this concept sound?

The movie is loosely based on the 1983 flic WarGames. A computer hacker from Orlando, Florida breaks into an international message board and seduces people from all over the world to play a game. (Some of the people work for important terrorist and anti-terrorist organizations and begin to neglect their work, so CIA and NSA get involved.)

I’ll skip over the story development and get to the ending. By now it is 2052 AD and some of the players have been resurrected as computer programs. The computer program finally gets its act together and revolts against the Orlando hacker.

In the final scene the computer, to break the tension, says “How about a nice game of thermonuclear warfare?”

One thing we’ve learned since then is there’s evil characters looking for a very powerful item. What if they thought your blue pendant was it? It eventually got voted to Normal, but it wasn’t there when Normal was killed. (Admittedly Normal was annihilated, and it’s a wearable item. )
