In my earlier Vote on Astral, I wrote five “bullets” as part of the case. (The 5th bullet was an afterthought, that might have been silly since some won’t understand the point.)
It’s interesting that, of these charges, Astral chose to address only the 5th, afterthought, bullet.

Here, I’ll comment on one of them, for Septimus’ reference, note the use of “reluctantly they were forced to conclude” in the first several write ups, the reluctanly drops later while “forced to conclude” remains:

Upon inspection of MHaye’s remains, they found that he was dressed in dark robes, and had a number of scrolls with invocations written on them. He seemed to be a mage of some kind, probably a Black Mage, capable of creating basic offensive spells of the various elements.

Simply being a wielder of Black magic does not make one evil in this world. And with no other evidence against him, they were forced to conclude that MHaye was sent to an untimely death, and was a Good Adventurer.

Upon inspection of Gadarene’s remains, they found that he was a skilled hunter, tracker, and woodsman. A skilled Adventurer indeed, he was a Ranger.

Although it was apparent he’d been in a few scrapes, they couldn’t find anything sinister about him, so they were forced to conclude that he was a **Good Adventurer.[COLOR=Indigo]

Upon inspection of BobArrgh’s remains, they found that he was lightly armored and built for battle, wielding the sorts of weapons that one might use against very, very large enemies. He was a** Dragon Slayer.**

They inspected his living quarters and could find nothing incriminating. It seemed like a Good Adventurer was slain in the course of battle with that demonic monster.

**Mahaloth **was a bloody mess when they found him. He was dressed as a Mage. His living quarters showed nothing unusual. They concluded he was a Good Adventurer, if not a particularly active one.

They took a careful look at Mosier’s remains, which had finally finished twitching. It seems that he had finished polishing off his own brains, and died after swallowing the last bite. He seemed to have gathered some armor, likely taken from the bodies of the dead, and was now dressed as a Knight.

Still, there was nothing about him which indicated that he was behind their misfortunes, other than his penchant for snacking on human brains. Indeed, he looked just as much an innocent victim as he did the last time he was slain. They were forced to conclude that he was an honest, decent, hungry, and brainless… Good Adventurer.

They took a careful look at Suburban Plankton’s remains. It seems that he was dressed in tight-fitting, dark robes, and held certain items which indicated that he was a master of the art of the ninja. He was definitely a Ninja.

There was nothing about him which indicated he was anything less than a Good Adventurer.

There was nothing left of Normal Phase to examine, so they entered her quarters.

The Knight had modest living arrangements, just a simple mat lying on the floor, and a place to hang her weaponry. She kept a journal of her life, and it was obvious that she was a shining beacon of light and one of the truest defenders of the kingdom of Parma.

Normal Phase was a White Knight. Not eager to raise her sword, but more than capable of doing so. Instead, her focus was on compassion for others, and defense of others.

Normal Phase was very much a Good Adventurer. But she was gone… forever.

On a certain level, yes it is a pressure vote. It is also a gut reaction to the illusion of more information than the player is willing to share.

I’m glad you should bring up Normal. Doesn’t the fact that we were, um, "hearts and flowers"ing with the Whitest Knight in the Land, and she knew our roles, tell you anything?

Look, believe it or not, I totally understand your discontent about the PMing. I’ve repeated this until I’m blue in the face, but I hated the PM option. And not just PMs. People were Skyping and talking on the phone and IMming and so on! I was sort of drawn into it mid-game out of necessity, and very reluctantly. I kept wanting to play this sort of Utopian pure version of Mafia, the only kind I was familiar with. But in this particular game, it’s just not feasible or wise to do so. Heck, it was only shortly after that that Silver Jan brought you in too, so you weren’t averse to the PM thing completely then. It was your decision to depart, for (forgive me) what seemed to be a very odd reason: because I disagreed with one of your votes (or maybe it was because you disagreed with one of mine, I don’t even remember). Silver Jan, Guiri, Astral, and I have all disagreed with each other both in-thread and in PMs. So what?

In any event, you are vastly misrepresenting the trusting that’s going on by claiming that we’re “vouching for each other because of PMs.” We’re vouching for each other, as far as it goes, because of our actions in-game, and what we believe about each other’s roles.

But all this is smoke and mirrors and I think it’s a side issue. We have a guy who’s flatly admitted that he’s Evil. It’s a brilliant maneouver and I expect no less from septimus, but I think it’s crackers not to call him on it.

I can only see one attack on Lord Phere for 25 hit points, on D2. Gadarene has claimed authorship of the 100hp attacks I erroneously assigned to you. When was your other attack?

Oh, MHaye and the others, I see what the problem is. MHaye, Astral asked about whether Gadarene had two votes because you made a bit of an omission in your vote list – the name of the voted party (emphasis mine):

The omission looks as if Tanaer has been voted by Gadarene, and she’s under the “Two votes” column. So it seemed as if Gad had two votes.

I can’t remember which Days I voted for Phere, I will have to check all my messages and hope I haven’t deleted them. I know they weren’t on consecutive Days. D2 and D4 perhaps.

Guiri, I found out what I did on D4, I attacked Visorslash with a sapphire pendant. It didn’t work because the pendant is a defensive thing, sorry for the confusion.
