[Mafia game] The Realm of Phere

I’ve weakish Town reads on a few, and a slight Scum read on only one:

Unvote; Vote: Astral Rejection

This read follows others’ comments, as well as some (problematic) issues I won’t try to articulate. (I’m sure my failure to explain will be treated as Scummy, but, frankly, it’s annoying to spend time trying to be helpful knowing my comments are scrutinized for possible scumminess and have no other effect. I am Town but, if Lynched, may be little loss – I’m a bad player.)

How’s that study coming along? Or do you think present is scummier?

Bad luck, eh?
Rereading MHaye I get no Scum read. He, but especially others, are relatively quiet which is likely where some Scum are hiding. As of now, only Astral reads as likely Scum to me but I’ll read other cases, if presented.

As for the Songkran Water Festival, a main purpose of the watering is that April is the hottest month; this April is no exception. The pretty young girls are as pretty and young as ever, if not more so, but the same can’t be said of me. It was the mothers of these girls who were the pretty young girls when I first came to the village, and I was too old for them then. :smack:

I don’t remember that vote, do you have a link? I know PetW had fubbles on his suspicion list for that reasons; that’s part of why I voted for him.

Go ahead and tell me in private then if you want Septimus; you know I’m predisposed to listen.

If you want to look at other cases, stuff has been presented against Scathach, Weedy, Visorslash and of course Gadarene.

Yay you posted something that made a hell of a lot of sense :stuck_out_tongue:

Unvote Visorslash

Neta CRAP

Unvote Visorslash

tough for Weedy to do that when we talked on the phone as i was riding from one place to another. Offline by any means, we were told! She’s not joking when she says she knows me best.

I was trying to gauge response to my post/get any kind of update because I hadn’t been able to be online all day. Also I was grizzling about coming down with something (We are in Aus for those who don’t know.)

It’s crazy early here but I’m reading now because I’m sick. I’ll have to crack through and get back onto recording soon. But for the moment you have me. I’m just doing some catchup. Spotted this when I was checking the last page to see just how much i’ll have to do

Don’t really have time to post, but this post is wrong. I would be voting silver jan next phase.

[OOC]
consider the above appropriately OOC-bracketed as well !
[OOC]

I wonder whether dear Lord Phere is Fire
perhaps a drenching might curtail his pyre?

Here, I’ll quote it for you:

You’re right. Voting for fubbles because if he’s a third party he might cooperate with scum is weak.

I’ve not tried to do this myself, but it shouldn’t be hard to figure out who, if anyone, Gadarene’s contact is. Several players can be ruled out by Gadarene’s discussion. He posts an alleged PM verbatim and (although I’m too groggy and lazy to attempt it now myself) it shouldn’t be hard to compare styles and make a good guess about the PM’s author.

But … it seems possible the whole PM is just Gadarene’s forgery. The idea advanced earlier that Astral and Gadarene are fellow Scum bussing each other seems plausible. I’m almost tempted to move my Vote to Gadarene and take up Fubble’s offer …

I understand your point and yet I think
the opposite in element could curse
a fiery person wearing water blue
could get a shock if it works in reverse

Dear sir, please entertain this novel view -
that there may be more options than just two:
that a secret triple vote could well purport
to an agenda of a different sort!

PetW
#107 Asks Visor about his antagonistic stance and how it helps town. Was pinged by his posts in the sign-up thread, asks his age
#188, 190 Explains accusation, not satisfied with response so votes Visorslash, vote is a pressure vote, wants to be alerted to lurkers
#362, 363 (After EOD) is happy with vote, suspects his tone changed in sign-up thread after PMs were sent out
#567 Suggests focusing attacks on the demon, need unanimous votes, doesn’t trust Gadarene for his farewell post and miraculous save
#569 Corrects himself, miraculous save doesn’t indicate Gadarene’s alignment
#570 To choie, agrees that focused attacks on suspect scum would be preferable to diffuse attacks, need to start working together
#574 To Visorslash, smart vote strategy will prevent the extra votes deciding the lunch. If we need to kill the demon, we’ll find a way
#578 To Gadarene, defends comments on his farewell, didn’t suggest diffuse attacks but coordinate attacks on suspected scum
#579 Doesn’t think it’s worthwhile attacking the demon, suggests attacking Gadarene instead
#582 To SilverJan, who asks if he thinks Astral is scum too, comments. I can’t understand it though:

#735 Asks what people think of coordinated attacks as a secondary lynch
#742 Apologises to Scathach for taking credit for her idea
#755 Cautions against giving items away, Fubbles could booby trap them, wonders why he wants gold
#767 Based on Pizza’s info, killing the demon can’t be part of the wincon
#768 Self votes for ring
#835 Infamous post with gloating, rallying call to coordinate votes, votes Gadarene for his farewell post and since scum didn’t kill him, suspects Fubbles is not up to any good, suspects Visorslash for being abrasive and changing his tone
#837 Asks who agrees with the vote coordination idea
#838 OOC comment on phone
#848 Asks Normal to explain vote and comment on his vote strategy
#889 To Gnarly, explains why assumes 3 scum kills, all were town, doubts extra votes were townie
#899 Doesn’t think one of the kills was a vig kill. This is only second game.
#905 To SilverJan, who votes him for his strategy, explains objective of strategy
#907 Provides more detail
#1025 Suspects triple votes are not final and will be used to force a mislynch
#1029 Taunts Lord Phere
#1092 Asks if there’s a relationship between alignment and faction, does good mean town
D1 was just his vote on Visor, based on his posts in the sign-up thread, OK for a pressure vote but a very weird accusation. He seems to do a 180 in relation to attacking Lord Phere, initially he suggests it, then, after choie voices her thoughts against the idea, he sees the value of having a second lynch, then he doesn’t think it’s worthwhile attacking the Lord and “as he said”, we should go for a second lynch, and then suspects that killing the demon can’t be part of the wincon - I can’t decide if it’s backing off or a realization. I don’t see how his comment about the triple voter fits with his vote on Gadarene, he seems to give him a fairly high probability of being Town. I see the gloating and I don’t get the reasoning for the vote on Gadarene, scum had good reason to keep him alive. Quite confident for his second game ever, I’m dubious.

We talked on the phone, and it was more her tone of voice, and the naturalness of the conversation than what she said.

@ Septimus – all I can say is ToeJam denied it was him.

I’m not sure whether Visor is implying he has the same information as Gadarene says that he has, with what he said in his last post; or whether he’s just working off what Gadarene said. I"m not having the best of days.

I don’t get the first sentence here.

It’s the one quote I left in the WoW, I struggle to understand the “if either/both are town” bit. Here’s the full exchange:

Guiri, he is saying that if Astral or Gadarene were Town, they would have been lynched, so the fact that they didn’t means they are more likely Scum. It wouldn’t have made sense for the demon to lynch Mosier when he could have lynched Astral or Gadarene.

I disagree, but I don’t think what he is saying is inconsistent.
