Yes, self-consciousness is often evidence of scummitude. It says so right in the Scumhunters Manual, Chapter 3, Subsection 5, right next to where it warns me not to get too focused on little things on day one lest they wind up distracting me for the whole game. I tend to ignore that one.

The reason I haven’t removed my vote from Visorslash is that he OMGUSed Weedy, that bugged me a lot.

another thing rather common in the games ATPG has played in and designed that have items? Is thieves. Sometimes thieves that have to know what an item is before they can try to steal it, sometimes thieves that can just steal whatever someone has. So it might be a good idea to be a little cautious about revealing items.

I think he could be both, that is why I have not unvoted him, but then again I have never played with him before (no pun intended) and it could just be his style. Overall though, I find it quite a scummy thing to do.

Clearly I’m way more tentative than you are, but… isn’t this what everyone does? I mean, I know what I’m about to say now, and I knew it before I hit “reply.” Is that suspcious? Do you really just click “reply” with no clue about what you’re gonna say, and then let your fingers randomly hit the keyboard in hopes that whatever you write has something to do with the previous posts?
In any event I really don’t want my grudge vote on septimus to be taken as serious mistrust, because I have no read on him whatsoever yet. I fully admit there’s nothing I’d like more than to lynch a Scum septimus, but it’s too early for me to make a call, especially with so low a post count on his part. So…

Greetings, fellow adventurers! I see the talk is already flowing fast and furious. I am used to playing werewolf in person, its going to take me a little while to catch on to the customs here, I hope you will bear with me.
The first day is pretty much my least favorite part of the game. No one has any past behavior to go on (outside of meta-gaming, of course) and so anything out of the ordinary comes up to great scrutiny. I find the quick judgment to vote a bit disturbing…two or three lines and you are on the chopping block?
For my part, I don’t feel ready to vote for anyone just yet. The day is young.

Townies are generally more relaxed and free-flowing in how they post; scum are generally more self-conscious about how what they’re saying sounds, especially when it’s their first post in the thread or their first post for the Day.
I don’t see how I’m trying too hard to take objection to Astral’s post. I was asked why I voted Astral, and I explained myself.

Actually I want to know whether my Pendant has any use to the Town. If so, the quicker I find out, the better.
I mentioned I was a Soldier as I expect Mages will be better at Identifying objects.
Also I’m in the UK, so will not overlap in time with most players. Therefore I’m going to be direct.
