Mafia: Goontown [Game Over]

Although I do wish **Mahaloth **could be more active in scum-hunting rather than merely focusing on me, I am convinced now that he’s town.

It comes down to this - why was **snoe **night killed? The post count, surely.

We might have been able to make a case against him today, since he was the first to cast a vote against **Biotop **Yesterday, but it was so early in the day, and it definitely wasn’t the deciding vote.

The obvious trend is that townies with a lot of posts will be NK’d.

As to why **Mahaloth **survived… well, one he has a lower post count. Also, with all the activity during the night from **Bravo **and me being on **Mahaloth’s **case Yesterday, scum might have just figured we’d take care of him ourselves Today. I mean, why waste an NK on **Mahaloth **when town is ready to burn him at the stake anyway?

Mahaloth, I think YOU were the bait today.

Even on Day 3, I might still be all for lynching the lurker. All we’ve done so far is fuck each other over. For all we know, it’s only the towns that have been talking and pointing fingers and making cases and the scum just have to sit back and let us take each other down and tack on a vote here or there at the end of the day. We should let some of the other people speak up and make a case. Like, an actual case. Not just piggy backing on someone else’s argument.

Looking at you Sunny Daze/Knowed Out and **Mahaloth **to an extent.

I have looked at Johnny’s data. (Thank you Johnny.) I have read the thread and posts. I have come to my own conclusions. How is that any different that what you have done? The only person who hasn’t done that, as far as I can tell, is Knowed Out.

Johnny regarding your vote on Knowed Out:

I agree that Knowed Out is a very logical candidate for the lynch, but I am also really worried about how much time is left. I want to use it the best way possible. For me that means I’m going to place my vote with the larger outlier. It makes no sense to me that snfaulkner is the only high count poster left. Maybe the lynchings didn’t go as scum planned, but his high post count makes him really stand out.

Vote snfaulkner

Hey, I’ve been involved; I just still think it is you and someone else. Having said that, you make some solid points and I agree that scum often leave the person attracting the most lynch attention alive…and I think that might have been me?

I still believe we should kill Neighbor, but I can live with snfaulkner(top poster) or Knowed Out(least poster) as well. I really have no idea what I’m doing here.

Well that wouldn’t be your first misread this game.

**snfaulkner **seems like the most obvious town bait Today, which is why he was kept alive.

**Mahaloth **comes in second.

^^ those are the people the scum WANT (or even counted) on us to lynch Today.

That leaves Bravo,** Sunny Daze**, and Knowed Out.

Hmm… need to think.

With this small size of game, we must start looking at voting history.

An obvious misdirection technique would be for a scum to vote for a fellow scum, then unvote and change their vote at some point.

I’ll try to do an analysis of that for tomorrow morning. I’m hungry and need to eat and not worry about this damn game for the time being!

Wow, that is the furthest thing from what I was saying. I said your methods produced exactly zero accuracy.

Granted, accuracy means nothing as long as you can cause the mob mentality to lynch not you. Bravo, Johnny! I’d switch my vote to you if I didn’t feel this insatiable need to prove I was right about Hi Neighbor.

Vote count:

Mahaloth: 0 (Johnny Bravo 598-620)
Hi, Neighbor: 2 (Knowed Out 599, Mahaloth 600)
Sunny Daze: 1 (Hi, Neighbor 601)
Knowed Out: 1 (Johnny Bravo 620)
snfaulkner: 1 (Sunny Daze 623)

I can empathize and understand all votes, to be honest. I suppose that is a sure sign that scum has hidden themselves well.

My thoughts on the votes are:

Hi, Neighbor: This is my vote and the best case. That’s why my vote is there. That reverse-engineer vote, which I still think happened, is scum-like behavior.

Sunny Daze: Sunny voted Biotop and was(I think?) the second Bio Voter. Definitely a scum hiding place possibility. I have little read other than this fact.

Knowed Out: Our lowest poster and a definite possibility for scum hiding.

Faulkner: Our biggest poster and with the way the kills went, it sticks out. Seems kind of obvious for a scum to just leave themselves up top like that, but it is possible.

I still think Neighbor is the best choice at this point and I am comfortable going forward and risking the game on it. We are at lynch-or-lose, is that right?

We are currently at 4 Town, 2 Scum. A mislynch and Night-kill would leave us at 2 Town, 2 Scum, which (depending on the tie-breaker status) may or may not leave the Scum in control of the vote.

If I compare Knowed Out and snfaulkner, I’m still not seeing that Knowed Out has a stronger case for hiding. I think snfaulkner is the more likely scum. As Chronos just mentioned, the post count matters for tie-breaker status. Given that, I think it does make sense for scum to want at least on player with a high post count.

There were only 2 scum since the beginning? This game really does bring the paranoia.

I feel like there should be more to say, but I’m not sure what. We feel like we are settling into our current votes. I tried to review my thoughts in post 630. Does anyone else want to go over their thoughts?

I’m really not feeling motivated to do the kind of deep dives that I normally would since nobody else is bothering.

I understand that sounds petulant, but that’s where I’m at.

I’ll go on record as saying that my top candidates for the scum team are **Mahaloth **and Knowed Out.

Well this game has fizzled out it seems. I hope to see more chatter tomorrow.

I’m not sure what to say. I will be at a Cross Country big competition for most of the day tomorrow. I tried to get the conversation going, but it seems like everyone is settled…or missing(?).

I think I was kept alive precisely because of my high post count, this making me an easier lynch. And I am stink-eyeing Sunny and Neighbor for pushing that narrative. I already felt squidgy about neighbor, so let’s say bye, neighbor.

[Vote]Hi, Neighbor![/vote]

I again apologize to all for my absences. It has not been a good couple of weeks IRL.

Dammit!

vote Hi, Neighbor!

It has. I’m dazzled that I can essentially skip 2 or 3 days and still be too poster.
