An uneventful Night passes without incident. Except for Loyal Hacker DiggitCamara being processed by the waste reclamation system.
The Day Two duty roster is01. ColdPhoenix – Captain
02. Chronos – Executive Officer
03. Inner Stickler – Chief of Security
04. ComeToTheDarkSideWeHaveCookies – Head of Engineering
05. Ichini Sanshigo – Ship’s Doctor
06. Hal Briston – Crew-member
07. Darth Sensitive – Crew-member
08. Scuba_Ben – Crew-memberThere seems to have been a glitch in the ship’s computer. So it goes…
The current vote count, carried over from Day One is
Well, according to my notes, Ichini is not where I expected to find him in the rankings this morning, and the color indicates a computer glitch. Looks like Diggit and Ichini may have switched places, and then Diggit was killed, or Diggit was killed and then Ichini was somehow demoted? With the mention of the glitch in the color, I’d lean slightly toward the former, but who knows.
Well, given that we “appear to have had a glitch in the ship’s computer”, and that there is no other explanation in the offering for how Ichini got bumped all the way from XO to Doctor, I’m guessing that a Hacker has some sort of power to modify ranks. I think our public roles are supposed to be more powerful than the secret ones, and what Diggit apparently did seems to have been much more powerful than what the XO does, so I’m guessing that his power either had a limited number of uses, or some random element to it.
Speaking of secret roles: My PM reads
I didn’t want to have to reveal this first Day, and indeed managed to avoid it (though it got pretty close there for a while). But with how small this game is, and Scuba still being under pretty high suspicion, I don’t think I should sit on it any longer. Scuba, I presume you got a similar message in your PM; if so, now is the time to say so.
Posited: The game would be quite well balanced with the roles as shown, plus one pro-town mystery role (which we can assume was “the hacker”). This makes the existence of a Mason group unlikely. Not impossible, but unlikely.
IfChronos and Scuba_Ben were the scum, then my, wouldn’t this be a nice way of making themselves look pretty damn good.
I very well could be way off base, but it’s a possibility that we can’t afford to ignore.
The thought certainly crossed my mind as well. Even if either of them are confirmed by a Doctor, unless there is at least one dead scum by that point, I will be taking the claim(s) with a grain of salt unless one of them turns up as confirmed dead loyal crew.
Then if he says **Chronos **is town all of Chronos, **Ichini **and **Scuba **are confirmed town or all of Chronos, **Ichini **and **Scuba **are confirmed scum.
If he says Chronos is scum then **Chronos **and **Scuba **are scum.
Not a bad idea in principle (especially since I now have a pretty high rank), but I feel obligated to point out that Scuba hasn’t yet confirmed what I said. From the publicly-available information, it’s still possible that I’m Scum but Scuba is Town (of course, I know that that’s not the case, and I’m guessing that Scuba does also and will shortly confirm).
I also think that it might yield more information, on the whole, to spread the network of Doctor claims a little wider, and investigate someone else instead, but I’m not sure on that. I’ll run some numbers on it.
I was hoping I wouldn’t have to reveal Yesterday, and it was indeed close.
I am a mason, school Mates with Chronos. My role PM is identical to Chronos’s, except for having his name instead of mine.
I’m going to have to sit down and think things through. I certainly didn’t expect votes to carry over.
Unvote everybody
I partially support ColdPhoenix’s plan. Ichini could create a group of three mutually confirming players. Or he could attempt to add a fourth into the group.
There is also the possibility of other Loyal private roles. If there is a fourth Loyal private role, they might want to avoid revealing for another Daycycle.
The other point to wait for is the results of Engineer Inner Stickler’s monitoring.
Even if he were somehow, folks in the brig can still talk. And I presume we’d find out if he’d had his tongue cut out or something. I’m guessing his current absence is attributable to… absence.
It’s highly unlikely that Hal, Darth and myself are all Scum. If I am Scum, then Chronos must also be Scum, for we have claimed as masons.
Given that claim, Chronos and I assert three Loyalists – I count three because Chronos pronounced Ichini as Loyal.
If we can get a fourth asserted-Loyal player, then come Tomorrow we have a very good chance of breaking the game open.
There’s almost certainly either two or three Scum. If three, then we have one mislynch remaining. But a two mislynch game would be terribly short. Still, it would help for a Mutie to die Tonight.
Like ColdPhoenix, I am curious why DiggitCamera was lynched. But as I’m (asserted to be) Loyal, I can’t speak for the Scum.
I don’t think that Hal, Darth and you are all scum but just that at least one of you probably is.
There’s no way that I can see to get 4 assertedly loyal players by tomorrow. If the doctor tests someone other than yourself or Chronos then we’ve only got your word that you’re not scum.
