Mafia: Not-so-simple-Simpletown

NETA:

I see that Adrian has pretty much made the same case while I was writing my post and helping my son with his Play-Doh.

Nope. What you said was that you were aligned “which was to be expected” - your words.

I didn’t’ expect it, but you did. Don’t know what is up but you can’t spin a quote. Or maybe try again.

No the flip anywhere did I even come close to suggesting this. Don’t argue against something that has not been suggested. Yep it sure sounds like you are guilty as hell. Freak dude, just trying to talk. Talk to the posts.

Vote Mental

Ok. That didn’t read write.

MG is admitting that he/she and Adrian are working together to prove his/her towniness. I don’t discount this. It’s just odd to see team mates this early, unless they know something I don’t.

Suggest what?

You definitely suggested (or inferred, if you wish) that Adrian and I are working together. I was just trying to explain that in a narrow sense we are working together, and I would be more likely to work with him than some of the others that seem to be trying to start a bandwagon against me.

Ok, frick it, yaknow this is too ticklish. I want new players but I don’t want to scare them off.

K, played like I would have against a story or blam, maybe a hoop on a good day.

Unvote Mental

Just want the fluffer accusers to go away. It’s how I play.

Water off a duck.

Man, this peeker guy is gonna be fun

Thanks for the unvote peeker but I don’t think you would have scared me off. The time you have to put into this might though (or at least the time you get sucked into spending on it). But the real point of my post:

What is a blam, a story, or a hoop?

Senator, I played with blam, story or hoop. I knew blam, story, or hoop. Blam, story or hoop was a friend of mine. Senator, you are no blam, story, or hoop.

Sorry, that was really uncalled for

Blam is the mathematcian. He is so dead on that logic can’t beat him. He is so way cool.

Hoop is my bud from a long time ago. We were newbs and fighting our first battles. Holy freaking crud.

But the one that stands out is story. He wrote the book. He is a food cook and hell of a player,

I don’t know how the above feel but they seem like pals to me.

Also, even if they like you they will hand your head to you on a tray if called for.

Mother fuckers.

Read a wee bit. See M2, any game with PRH, and watch hoop. Sonabitch almost cost us smasher singlehandedly.

The other peeps you got to be careful of are: tabber and Kat. They will weave their feminine charm and you’ll wale up with the steak knife from last nights meal between your shoulder blades. GD black widders.

Oh and Paul rocks as well.

And actually Paul kind of sucks. But he gets so tempermental if you don’t stroke him at times.

And I know I leave a ton of folks out. Shoot pede rocks as a player and a mod and my personal fave. coca cola. Mr. I don’t post unless I Have something to say. Crud I wish I could work with him.

If by “vote blind” you’re referring to my suggestion that people vote for who they truly believe the scum is, then yes, I’m saying “vote blind”.

Any many a scum’s, too?

These arguments would be made prior to the last 24 earth hours of the game Day.

It will rob scum of the ability to tip a close vote back in their favour. And if robbing them of a shovel makes it “easier” for them to use a dessert spoon, that’s a good thing. Not a bad thing.

Well, I wouldn’t say I was getting “all huffy”, I was just expressing my shock and amazement at the early voting frenzy.

You seemed awfully keen to over-exaggerate a lot of my points there, Pauly Boy, should I make something of it?

straggler,

This is going to ramble, but I’m on pain meds for my jaw right now. So please forgive me.

Your logic here is lacking something or somethings.

You seem to think that Town can ambush Scum with a flurry of late votes. However, Scum will still have the opportunity to vote strategically. They already know who is Scum. We don’t.

You seem to think that allowing time for a claim is a bad thing. Yes, I know Scum will sometimes claim, and it may save them. But Scum are more likely to slip when making a claim. And Town can benefit from a claim.

You seem to think Town will get extra knowledge from the late votes. However, you’re losing sight of the fact that Town gets more information from interactions and trends than just a flurry of late votes.

And, to clarify, by voting blind, I meant, if we wait until the end to vote, what do we do in the meantime? Discuss the weather? Why apply an artificial barrier to our voting? Why deny me the knowledge I can get from seeing how people react and respond to early votes?

You say that we’ll have information from arguments earlier in the Day, but won’t Scum have that information too? Won’t they be able to see how we’re likely to vote and respond accordingly?

and you say this:

What do you mean? What power are we taking away from Scum? Do you really think the Town can act unified in secret from the Scum? All I see is that we’ll end up with some scattered votes, and Scum will get to pick and choose who to lynch without having to be held strongly accountable for their votes.

No, I say make your vote at the time you see fit. We can also spot trends in time of votes, bandwagoning, leading lynches, we’ve got so much data from a naturally occurring Day to catch our Scum.

I’ve played as Scum before, and I can tell you, I would have loved to have everyone voting late in the Day. It would have saved so much grief.

IN all, I’m completely confused by your approach.

I see no benefit to Town. We still have to develop arguments, find Scum, and vote.

I do see a benefit to Scum. Town won’t be able to claim their powers to save themselves. Scum will still know who to target, and we won’t have a full Day’s analysis of pro-Scum behavior.

FCS, it burns. Sheep, it burns. ed makes perfect sense.

Uh, straggler it was a durn bad idea. Just let it die.

Oh, is that what you meant by “voting blind”?

That’s funny, because it wasn’t you who said it. It was paulwhoisaghost.

Good point, the words weren’t mine, but the ideas were mine on posts 224 and 227. I wish the phrase was mine, because it’s a good way to describe what you were saying.

… and in the secured discussion area where only scum can communicate?

I assume by this that you mean to be accusing me of being Scum for telling you how awful your idea was. You should be more clear when you’re making accusations, otherwise people might think you’re smudging.

However, to address your concern, did you mean to imply that I used the term ‘voting blindly’ on the Scum board and then **paul **copied it from me there and used it on the main board? And then, I assumed you’d seen my post on the Scum board and so responded to you on the main board…um…or maybe you’re thinking more like this:

If you notice, I called you on the poor strategy in post 224. You defended yourself in 226. I responded in 227. **Paul **used the term “vote blind” in 228, though he was really restating some of my ideas.**Almost ****Human **gave her ideas on your bad strategy in post 230 (Is she part of our Scum plot too). Maybe we can include **Adrian **who chimed in in 231. And **Bill **commenting on the fact that you felt Town not being able to defend themselves was a strength of your strategy. He must be Scum too, eh? **peeker **was a little slow on the draw calling your idea bad in post 244. But he must have been busy coining terms on the Scum board.
OK, in the end. Your idea is bad. Many of us have told you so. It’s OK to have bad ideas, I don’t think any of us really strongly suspect you of being Scum despite how pro-scum and anti-town your idea was. It’s OK to let the idea drop now.

I was drinking when I read this and whiskey almost came out my nose.

Yeah yeah… fuck you too peek. That’s for the ego stroke though… even if it was temporary.
