This isn’t an isolated incident and not a “joke” from Peeker. I ignored this language yesterday but am not going to go through listening to it any more. I didn’t enjoy playing yesterDay and hoped it was behind us, but it isn’t.
I apologized to Sitnam when I got carried away with my language. It is easy to get into the heat in this game and forget that we are all here for the same reason, to play. It is clear to me that Peeker is free to say whatever he feels like with no consequences and is going to keep on doing so. I am not going to sit here and remain his target any longer.
Looks like I was totally wrong about you MG, confirmed town mason, and unfortunately another dead mason. I’ll need to go back and read your posts again in that light.
Don’t leave Hero, I find Peekers style a little irritating, heck I got as far as f*cking mindless … and tuned the rest out. If he had something to contribute towards the game, I’m not looking for it in posts like that.
Holy flippin crud. It was intended to be a freaking joke. Yaknow tongue in cheek kind of stuff. If you quit because of me then I quit. This is supposed to be fun with some barbed banter. Shoot if my banter drives off even one soul that could enjoy this game then I am definitely out of here.
Seriously, I like our discussions. You seem to be a player and call me on my bullshit. That certainly does not offend me a bit. If you are ever in San Antonio I owe you and KidV multiple potent potables.
I am not necessarily against this, but I would like to hear the other players’ opinions on this. What exactly are the advantages and disadvantages of a mass claim? Also, would I(or whoever the players decide) make a random list, then only name the players one at a time, not letting everyone know the order in advance?
Peeker It is difficult to find the humor in being called full of shit in the context of a game where one assumes everyone is posting with sincerity or is scum. I enjoy the flavor of your posts tremendously, but you also have a mean streak that feels unwarrented. You have not directed your “humor” at any player other than myself and I’m fed up with it.
I don’t mean to be dramatic but it isn’t fun defending myself from personal attacks. Right out of the gate you started in and I wasn’t going to take another week of it from you.
Sach has put a lot of work into this game and I appreciate his efforts, as well as the efforts of everyone still here. I won’t throw another wrench into this game by leaving, but my enthusiasm has been drained.
And this is a first, for me at least. I actually did not parse the thread from where I left off. So if this is out of context, so be it.
I sincerely apologize if you have taken offense. I also, feel that you kind of have a knack for this madness. I will caveat that with this, however. I have been persecuted when I have been niller, mason, town power role, normal scum and godfather. I have never taken anything said about me by any other poster than in the context of those games personally. The fact that a tabb will tell me to pee in my own butt or a rugger will suggest that I do something that, quite frankly, would be physically impossible (I know because I’ve tried) doesn’t make me feel any different towards them as folks.
Sorry, that you apparently have taken this personally, because that would never be my intent. Crud’s sake, peace?
Well, it’s the nickname of a poster we used to have here who really loved The Wonder Years and… wait, wrong guy. TLDR (aka “Teal deer”) Too Long; Didn’t Read.
A mass claim would force the factions that wish to conceal their identity to lie.
We have yet to see non faction role. It is the giant elephant in the room. Every dead player has been part of a faction. No-one can speculate about it though because it incriminates them. The masons SHOULD have brought this up but didn’t, and your mates were even willing to throw you under the bus to preserve their identity. Because of this I’m not sure I even trust the masons anymore so I’m not sure I’m in favor of you organizing a mass claim.
I think it is too unlikely that not a single vanilla townie has been killed. This leads me to conclude there are no vanilla townies. But saying so forces me claim.

I am a “coward.” I win when all threats to the town have been eliminated. Each night I have to pick a player to “hide” with and cannot pick the same player twice. I die if there are no more players left for me to hide with. That was all the information I was given.
Night One. I hid with Pleonast. I thought perhaps I would be given some sort of information if he took a night action, but instead he turned up dead and I got no reply from Sach. I assumed than that my power was some sort of redirection and wanted to telegraph this information to the town. I figured scum knew what happened and also wanted to keep them guessing. The “i” is not a typo.
Night Two. I hid with Ichini because I thought she was the scummiest. No extra PM from Sach.
Night Three. I hid with Peeker for reasons that should be obvious. No extra PM from Sach.
As the game has grown longer I realize I might be wrong about a redirect. Also, having gotten no extra info from Sach I’m not sure what my role does anymore. I think I might just be a powerless townie that is somehow used to balance an endgame scenario.
And crud this is not an attempt to agitate, so be that as it may. You “hide”. Is there something that happens with this “hiding” or are you not prepared to share? And the reason I phrase it that way is because some roles have some information that would not be judiciously shared. So in that context silence can be golden.
Ultimately, it’s up to whomever to do what they think is the right thing.
Now, of course, big ol’ plate of WIFOM for the scummers.
Hero I didn’t really understand your role pm. Can you explain it a bit more please? (On preview I see peeker says you shouldn’t say anything that might help the other side/s and I agree so only share if it’ll help town)
And yay for the three modkilled people not being town. Also yay for natlaw’s demise. And a boo for OD’s death.
Before the modkilled player’s allignment was revealed I’d thought one or more of them might be masons and that was why Mentalguy survived. Now we know they weren’t I’m guessing there’s some sort of protective role out there which is good. It might also explain the single NK on Night 1 though that’d be a pretty powerful role if it works Night and Day.
I think a mass claim could be interesting. I’m almost always in favour of them as those of you who’ve played with me before will know. God knows what we’re going to end up with this time though with so many non town players but if the majority are in favour of it I’m willing.
I am tending to lean in favor of the mass claim. I have entered the list of remaining players and had it randomized at random.org. If the general concensus is to have a mass claim, I will start naming players in the morning asking for their claim.
Or do you usually present the whole list at once and then let the players claim in that order?
Fug it. I am going to make am observation and then who knows. I truly did not want to piss on Hero’s parade. He seems like enough a likeable soul. Thin skinned but what the hey,
Peekercpa, I’ll bite. Whom did you investigate? I find it really hard to believe that the town had 5 masons, some sort of (one-shot?) lynch protection + confirmation, a Day start, and a detective. Although, peekercpa never said he’s a town detective
I’m not strategy-savvy enough to figure out the pros/cons of a mass claim, so I’m ambivalent
Hero, if you “win when all threats to the town have been eliminated,” and the dead masons were labeled “Town Masons” (i.e. they’re part of the town, so not a threat), then don’t you have the same win condition? Why wouldn’t you trust them?
