Mafia Reunion - Day Two

Wait, I just assumed Klutzy did the redacting as to not say publicly which switch he has.

Cap’n Klutz, did YOU do the redaction, or is the redaction part of your PM?

Feel free to discuss it with me outside the game.

Batman switch or no, this game be Robin me of my free time.

.
No?
.
I need to go sit in the corner and think about what I did? …oh ok.

That was my assumption too. Pretty much what **Crys75 **did - claimed a switching power without actually claiming who they control.

What I’m interested in is whether their switches are for a pro town or a pro scum role and whether the default is “on” or “off”.
Crys75, do you mind posting your PM? At this point, I don’t care if you bleach out the actual role that you are switching.

The mods already clarified that the switches would all default to ON at sunrise.

I agree with this. But will add that you forgot 3rd parties which could also benefit town. At this point the odds are in our favor.

I’m still trying to catch up, but it’s even harder now that I am trying to stay caught up on D2 as well. So bear with me if I missed something.

I don’t like this jump off of Colby. I know he flipped town… I also know almost everyone has looked at that bandwagon… but did anyone else look at those that jumped wagon? Septimus was town… I believe he was the first to jump wagon… but I see a strong motivation for scum to jump wagon once it seemed to be full steam ahead. They help get the wagon going with their vote… then when it’s going full speed they bail so that they keep a clean vote record. I also think they would have wanted to have a diversified vote record, so if there was scum on the bandwagon then it makes sense for some of them to jump off so they would be grouped together. I also believe that this strategy would have occurred to both teams which would mean that it’s possible that both teams had someone jump wagon.

I’m gonna ** Vote DiggitCamara **.

Back to reading. No idea how any of you are rereading.

Third parties that benefit Town? I know Survivor would be able to stand with either side, an I am sure there are a few more that I am unaware of…but what 3P are you thinking of?

I thought he was saying the vig would be shooting into a pool that includes 14 scum plus 3rd parties.

Oh and instead of FOS on Chrono it should have been capn klutzy

Ah. I misread. Blame sleuthjuice. Shooting into a pool of 14 scum + 3P. Makes more sense now.

I mean he could have…But why would he hide which switch and then put scum power. I’m willing to get this go for today however of he was still alive in the morning my first reaction would be to vote him.

I will post it in the morning from my pc. I just took 2 Percocets and I’m not sure I could do it lol.

can you flesh your second bit out for me- It has me in xirxles ( accentuation mine)

I did the redacting, I do know what it controls.

Why would I hide that? Because scum would benefit more than town from that knowledge.

If you do post your switch PM, I suggest redacting the power, as I did.

As for wording, the mods have told me “The PMs say the same thing with different words. Read them again.” I can’t agree that they say the same thing: “Each Night, it begins in the “on” position and you may flip it to “off” or leave it alone” is an off switch, not a toggle. However, we now know that they are meant to be the same.

snfaulkner, my MHaye case got ninja’ed by your Diggit case, which I also quite like. I think you can be Town. I had overlooked that Diggit, like MHaye, had exactly five posts Yesterday and a wolfy pop-in Today.

Not sure what you mean. But here is the exchange:

NAF,

In the game thread, you declined to say whether switches were revealed on death. However, Mahaloth has already told me that they are not:

When a switch holder dies, is anything said about their switch? (such as “storyteller, vanilla town, is dead. He held a Cop switch”)

Or is the fact that they held a switch completely left out?
Completely left out.
Since I already know, shouldn’t it be revealed publicly?
Huh. He should not have done that, but, cat’s out of the bag I guess. Feel free to report what you were told.
I and NAF believe everything regarding switches has been adequately explained. However, I will explain to make sure.

**Note: I later pointed out that switches only get flipped/toggled at Night.

Now, I’m going to provide an example just to end the confusion. I pray it works. Open up the spoiler to read the example.
Let’s say we have a switch called “vigilante switch”*. It controls the vigilante’s ability to kill. There are two of these switches out there. Player A and Player B have them.

Every Night, the “vigilante switch” begins “ON”, meaning the vigilante’s power will work.

If neither Player A nor B flip the switch, it stays on and the vigilante power remains active.

If one switch-owner flips the switch and the other does not, the power would be turned off.

If both Player A and B flip it, it would flip off and then right back to on, making the power active.

Every switch works like this. There are always two(never three or four). All revert to ON to start each Night.

And no, they are not revealed at point of death.

I picked that power randomly. There may or may not be a switch like it in the game.
*

NETA: Well,I guess you can be not-a-member-of -the-same-scum-team-as-Diggit, which has less of a ring to it but fits the ruleset.

Meh there is more than one mod running the game but I think putting redacted scum power makes you more of a target…Unless you don’t need to care…
