Mafia Reunion - Day Two

Well your certainly a cultists, by your own admission, which I believe. So without a clear cut scum to murder, you gotta go. Which is too bad because even though I’ve only played 1 other game with ya, I’m sure you’re a weirdo. A weirdo I enjoy having around.

I’m sorry, my internet connection has gone totally wonky. I am on a data plan and it used 3.2 GB this afternoon while I was reading the straightdope.

I am now in a parking lot trying to get caught up and leeching off a store wifi.

In this post you seem to have a pretty good grasp of what scum might be going through… and yet in your previous post you imply not realizing how scum would have knowledge of a switch without having a switch. I don’t see how you can do both.

You just lied.

If anyone believes what you wrote, you should be the next on the gallows.

I’m not 3rd party and I’m not scum. I’m vanilla townie. And now, you’re as much of a liar as I am.

BTW, turning off Javascript was the answer to those 'orrible redirects and shit ads (and nefarious data gobbling). The downside is that spoiler tags don’t own and multi quotes don’t work. And also you have to remember to re-enable it for porn viewing.

This confuses me a little - I would have characterized your cult (and I think I already did) as a cult of survivors. As long as one of you survives to the end, you win with whoever else wins. According to you.

Now, I see nothing weird about you picking someone randomly. In the Game of Discworld Lovers (my 1st game) we had to find our lovers. The first night, I thought I had seen a breadcrumb, and I was wrong. So after that I struck out randomly. It seems like the LUTHA would be able to breadcrumb pretty easily, becasue the rest of us didn’t know they even existed. But I get the randomness too.

This post was quoted a couple of times and I didn’t think about it hard enough the first time.

Wait. Why would Town counterclaim? There are two switches. If scum is holding one of them, only one Townie has a switch and would have no reason to counterclaim someone else claiming to have a switch. The only thing that makes sense for a counterclaim is if two people currently have Batman switches other than brewha, but if that were true, what would brewha be gaining by claiming and how would the other people know there was more than one of them? They’d only know that if they were on the same scum team, which wouldn’t be brewha’s team, because it wouldn’t make sense for brewha to claim in order to out the other switch holder if both were on his scum team.

I don’t think your theory makes sense.

Sorry. When you can’t comprehend that there are two different scum factions that do not communicate with each other, I’ll tend to be a bit insulting.

You’re voting to lynch a vanilla town based on essentially nothing. Please learn from your mistakes and stop killing town. It’s my only chance of winning this game.

Are you being serious? Do you not see a difference between lying and being wrong? It’s only lying if he doesn’t actually belive what he is saying.

I wish this site just had a “like” button.

Wait. So, you’re saying that his belief that I’m scum is wrong?!? Why would you say that?!?

If you think I’m not town -there is no reason to even address my post. Dude, are you sure you’re sober?

I have no idea how many switches there are. But here’s what I am pondering at the moment. It has been hypothesized that there could be as many - or maybe more!- 28 switches, right? It seems somewhat logical that opposing factions would hold the switches to any given power. I dont know how the math works, but it strikes me as a bit odd that a townie would hold the switch to a town power. The only way to explain that is that a mandatory vig could be a detriment to Town, so maybe put that power into town hands, at least partially.

I have not played another game with switches, but I think someone said in a previous Maha game, the switch was passed on to someone else upon death. That seems like a logistical nightmare. Can someone confirm that? If that happens, it might be additional info *someone *gains from brewha and/or crys’s death(s).

Wait, so are you saying you don’t seen a difference between lying and being wrong?

I bolded the part where we disagree.

By the logic of that statement, a townie who holds a switch would be under the impression scum hold the other switch. If someone then claims to have that switch, wouldn’t they conclude that claimant is scum?

Only one townie has a switch, but he would have no reason to counter a claim of town with the same switch?

The one switch-based Mahaloth- branded game I played, that is incorrect. The switch died with the player.

Thanks. I suspected I was misremembering it.

Nate, buddy, you know someone is gonna question your edit.

Again.

Thats at least three. Apparently edits are kosher in this game. Had I known that, I would have edited out that simple phrase and we wouldn’t have wasted a day focused on lynching town.

New phone. And the unfamiliar predictive autofuckups keep trying to send nefarious scum codes to the resistinsurgenscums.
