Um…is that it? Am I missing pages here? There were only 2 pages in Day 2 to far?
WTF people? WTF. Am I wrong or does the Day end tomorrow mid Day. Because if I am wrong about that, I am a little less frustrated by the happenings of toDay.
Yikes.
Sach - Can I get a vote count up in this mess? While your are at it, can you double confirm the Day end for me?
While I appreciate what you are doing here, I think this is a mistake. Extreame lurking usually means that they player forgot about the game or had a real life crisis. I am more worried about someone like pedescribe, who seems to have low post numbers for the whole game. In my reread -scriber seems to fit the “under the radar” new scum profile fairly well.
Embarassingly, I had mentally mixed up pedescribe and Peekercpa somehow. Reading pedescribe’s last few posts again dinged me too, so I’m in the process of going back and doing a summary of his/her posts. Just posting so nobody else does the same.
Sorry about being such a Lurker on Day Two. I’ve had a lot of stuff going on in WoW (officer meetings and instance runs) and in real life. The amount of commitment needed for this game has caught up to me a bit, but I’m going to stick it out.
I’m at work right now, but I will read up on the latest discussions and post some more this afternoon.
I know there has only been one lynch, my point was fluiddruid’s argument was for mod killing, thus creating a second lynch, is flawed. I think fluid was trying to imply that a second lynch is always good. Thus coming to fluiddruid’s recent post:
I disagree. I think the best way to gain an advantage is the passing of time and posts. Imagine a version of Mafia where the townies got to vote three times per day. Now if by odd chance, all the scum were discovered in such a game its a clear advantage. But, however, if there are 12 town and 4 scum in such a game, the game won’t last more than say 4 Days at max (3 town kill + 1 night kill). But in four Days, the townies won’t learn as much as they would from more days and may very well kill themselves off with a bit of help from the scum. So I think, two lynches early isn’t that helpful.
It could very well be another Menocchio early on. This is the same principle that leads to no lynching in some cases. I think no lynching is bad not cause I would go for any number of lynchings, but because I think one lynch is enough to keep people talking, and over time and many Days, people will talk and motivations will be revealed.
I think if info is available such that there are enough suspicions of scum to reliably vote, then in such a case more lynches are better. But again, I think extra kills on turn 1 is basically randomly removing people from the player list, and will offer no benefit.
I think the day is going by quietly, and I was one of the players at fault for that. I didn’t have any sense regarding QoT, and I’m interested in what kind of reasoning Blaster Master would give for that. I think its very easy to say after the fact that you had a suspicion that something would come true, but its another thing to put that out there before hand.
On the other hand, it seems Blaster is getting a lot of flack for just being an experienced player. I don’t personally see any scummishness. My personal suspects (so to speak) are fluiddruid (who I may switch my vote to based on recent posts) and peeker.
There seems to be a lot of discussion focussed on what happened to QoT and less on how that should affect the future in terms of voting, etc.
That doesn’t actually answer my question, it is also bad logic. Are you claiming something? Because if you are the cat is out of the bag and you might as well actually claim.
I am vanilla town and I really think MadTheSwine is scum. I think you defending him with only your opinion will speak volumes if MadTheSwine is indeed scum. Don’t you?
Well, yes, if I was defending him, which I wasn’t. I don’t know if Mad is town or not, I don’t think he has been acting particularly scummy, but hey, I am the new guy.
I was really much more interested in what you were saying than Mad to be honest.
