Sorry for my absence; I’ve been trying to get the off-board game up and running and it’s occupied my Mafia time for a day or so.

Anyway, I think the question of flyfisheron is by far the most urgent. I can think of several possibilities:

  1. He’s the Suicidal Vig and knows he will die toNight, and thus has just given up on the game.

  2. He’s just a vanilla Townie, and the Suicidal Vig is hidden among the vanilla claimants.

  3. He’s the Jester. He’s lurking in the hopes that we will lynch him to avoid a modkill, but will show up and make a post and a vote at the deadline if we don’t.

  4. Worst possibility of all: he’s actually a pro-Town power role, and one of the current claimants is lying scum. A modkill of flyfisheron screws us royally, in such a case, because we will be unable to treat any of our currently claimed power roles as confirmed. And that would defeat the whole purpose of the mass claim.

So my primary vote is probably going to be flyfisheron, because the uncertainty that a modkill will generate will royally screw us no matter what he is. It absolutely SUCKS if he is Town, because it’s a complete waste of a mislynch and gets the scum right back into the game, but any other alternative is a poor one.

I certainly don’t think we should lynch NAF, nor probably Cookies toDay. NAF in particular. When I was a little kid, my dad and I used to play Old Maid, and he would stick a card up from the deck, begging me to take it. Of course I assumed he’d never be that brazen, and I always took the card, and it was always the damned Old Maid. I think NAF is the card sticking up, begging us to take it.

Cookies, I dunno. She’s put herself out there, which makes me worry that maybe the card sticking up is the three of hearts and the card right next to it is the Old Maid, you know? Successfully getting a recruit is the best chance the scum have to win this game right now, so having two of them sacrifice themselves in the name of getting a recruit is absolutely not beyond the realm of possibility.

I’ll reread and come up with other votes ASAP.

This point is important.

I regard the chance that it is correct as fairly low. However, the consequences of this turning out to be the case is that the Town has basically been fitted with concrete boots and the scum can push us into the water almost at leisure.

This is why I put on my No. 2 hat and urge people to vote Flyfisheron. We want … information.

I’m back and will definitely get my vote in. The whole flyfisheron getting mod-killed thing has definitely thrown a wrench into things. I agree with story and MHaye that

I don’t want to take this huge claim risk and have it all devolve into confusion. So I think NBC is going to have to fall off my list for toDay (to be put at #1 tomorrow :D)

So, let’s see:
1. flyfisheron (to avoid modkill)
2. OAOW (for saying that I was “anti-claim”, when I wasn’t, and had said that I thought it was probably a good idea)
3. Almost Human (same reason as yesterDay - this is an admittedly lazy vote)
