Woohoo!
Woo, relief…
Gonna check out the forbidden thread later , when i have time - but for now , thanks to all my fellow town who got us here in the end. I definitely relied on the work of the rest of you.
Awesome game everyone! Storyteller, you did a great job, especially considering all the craziness going on in your personal life.
Nice win for TOWNfolk… Awesome setup, storyteller!
Thanks, everyone!
Well,
Hot Damn!
The universe is safe again…but…for how long?
I had a great time playing; thanks to everyone who participated.
A little later I plan on seeing just how bad I got hammered on in the other thread.
Yeah, I’m in no particular hurry either.
HAPPY DANCE!!!
Great job Town!!! Congratulations to all for managing to overcome my contributions! Let’s do this again…but not for a while…
Your contributions were great and we’ll thought out. We all made errors, but the town does not win without your reasoned postings. Glad to have played with you.
You guys all put on a great game, I was very intrigued. I’m excited to play another one… Of course, after I run mine - hint hint.
I am hoping we get to read the wolf boards soon. This game has got to be very hard to play as a wolf. I imagine the stress is at least double the town players.
The wolf boards for this game aren’t super interesting. In fact, we didn’t really talk very much at all.
Is there any particular night you’re curious about?
So we were right in thinking the wolves’ strategy was to kill experienced players unless there was a claimed Town role?
We targeted players who were experienced and/or making some very acute guesses. An exception was Thing Fish; he deduced two of us in the wake of Day 1, and we were afraid NKing him too soon would validate those suspicions for everyone else.
JSexton pegged Mahaloth for a power role, albeit the wrong one.
Yeah, mostly we were just going for “dangerous” players. It happened that, early on, the obviously dangerous players also were experienced players, but that was a function of this being a newbie game more than it being our primary metric.
The game begs so many “what ifs”
What if we had lynched **TexCat **on Day One?
What if **Bayard ** had waited one more day to claim?
What if **Dance G. ** had not made the “not tipping my hand” post?
What if I had voted for **Diggit ** and not **Plum **? (And it really was close. I didn’t even know who I was going to pick while typing out the post).
And so much more. In a game with over 1500 posts, just a few different comments, an added or subtracted post here or there, and it all turns out differently-- but what that difference is …is anybody’s guess.
I am just glad I don’t have to keep rereading the whole thread anymore!
Great Game by both sides. The Wolves had a very strong early game and got rid of many power roles in the first two days. Close games like this one are the best.
I was convinced that Cygnus was the last Wolf. Oh well. Good thing I wasn’t in this one.
It seems very odd that no one will be Night Killed today…
Seems a bit anticlimactic. I feel like we should all go out to dinner or something.
Who’s on the menu?
Agreed. It was a treat to watch.
