If that’s stalking, what does that make me - I’ve just dropped him a PM on Hispaniola, reminding him of duties ashore…
<drums fingers impatiently>
Come on Gad.

Come on Gad.
Here now. Sorry. Coming up. :smack:
Yeah, come on Gad…
Oh…wait…

*The population of the town is rapidly thinning. At this rate, any victory against the Mafia will be somewhat pyhrric…although rumor has it that the Masons have shadowy plans to rebuild the community in their own image. In any event, Blaster Master is led to the gallows, strangely unprotesting. Perhaps he has withdrawn into himself, convinced of the futility of persuading the town that they have killed one of their own. Or perhaps he’s planning a last-minute escape to build a new life somewhere else. A carefree life. He’s always wanted to go to sea… Lost in his reverie as the noose is placed around his neck, Blaster Master begins to dream of a quiet sea voyage with the many familiar faces he’s come to know so well. A quiet sea voyage that will soon be marred…by MURDER!!!
Back in the real world, Blaster Master, a member of the Mafia, has been lynched.*
Night instructions must be submitted by 2:45 p.m. my time on Tuesday.
Well done, Hal!
Very well done Hal. I honestly thought it was Diggit (sorry Diggit).
And now (assuming four original) we need to play hunt the recruit.
I’m getting plastered.
Thank god.
I feel like an idiot for misspelling pyrrhic.
Before I head off to What Exit’s dopefest, may I just say:
Wooohooo! Remaining scum, you’ve got no chance…
As you can tell, from context, I meant “two at most, and we’re not going to be waiting on one person…” :smack: Because otherwise, that would not mean a short night. Heh.
(Let’s make it short!!)
Huzzah!
Life has a funny way of intervening at the WORST times. Oh well, off to the forbidden thread with me.
Happy Hunting!
In response to a rules clarification question:
The masons can’t win unless the victory condition for town is fulfilled…which means until all the mafia (even the mason-mafia, if any) are dead.
While I’m online, as well as good 'n loaded, let me just point out how much I love this particular statement:
<snicker>
*There’s something different about the Village Green this morning. It’s…more creepily lit, somehow. Also, there’s a sacrificial altar that’s been hastily erected right in the middle of the bikepath. A leering portrait of Vampire George Washington hangs slightly askew from the hot dog stand. And various disparaging graffiti are scrawled on the fountain. One reads, “Yog-Sothoth Go Home!” Another: “fnord this, muthafuckas!” And: “Masons rule, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America drool!”
Sprawled soddenly on the altar—a party hat perched atop her head, a celebratory champagne bottle in one hand and a torn-open bag of pretzel sticks in the other—is Millit the Frail, dead drunk.
Oh no, wait. Just dead.
Millit the Frail, a mason, has been murdered.*
The day will end at 3:15 p.m. my time on Saturday.
Updated Player List
Alive:
Dead:
Five players left; three votes needed to lynch.
For the first time in the game, let it be said…
GO MASONS!
Bow down to the new order, Mafia scum! Resistance is futile!
<expletive deleted>
Ok, looks like they did recruit a townie after all. Which leaves me with a problem as I don’t get clear “recruit” reads on any of the remaining.
I’ve put too much work into this to see a scum win at this point, so I will follow the mason lead, unless you want to lynch me, in which case I will go along with it (from anyone but Diggit who I still think is suspicious).
Although, as this is currently a 5 on 1, with three roles known to two of the remaining we should be able to find the recruit.
You meant “4 on 1” right, tirial?
Someday, this damn game will be over, and I will be happy.
Sorry to see you go, Millit.
I have no fracking idea who the recruit is, aside from knowing that it isn’t me. If I went with my first hunch, I’d look strategically at Diggit as a likely recruit candidate, and also at nesta.
Diggit would make a good recruit because of how much confusion and suspicion has surrounded him through much of the game. There has also been a trend over the past few game days towards the remaining players (including myself) giving him the benefit of the doubt, in spite of the history of confusion and vague suspicion. If Diggit were to be recruited, there is plenty of chaos to hide in.
Conversely, nesta also would make a good recruit simply because a comparitively
“quiet” poster provides less opportunity to spot behavior changes.
2nd gut hunches leave Hal and tirial both of whom have had recently successful anti-scum campaigns which may or may not prove to have been cons.
That being said, I’m also open to some Masonly advice, though with one of them now dead, I fear that if the remaining mason’s role-claim, that we may not have enough confirmable data to see through any smoke-screen counter-claims, should they arise.
The way I see it, there were 2 possible recruiting moments:
The second one is completely open.
For my part, I’m quite sure the first recruiting moment was chosen. Yesterday’s “out of context” quotes would have cinched the deal, but this post gave me, even at the time, a strong feeling that tirial thought **Millit **was a mason
(YMMV)
So I’ll waste no time and will vote tirial.
