I just wanted to pop in and say thanks to everyone who played, Dante for hosting, and the board in general for just being here and allowing this kind of interaction.
I’ve been around - lurking mostly 'cuz I loves to read - long enough to remember when games of any kind not only did not have their own forum, but were rather frowned upon.
That said, the quality of this type of game play here is top-notch, IMO. A bit anal, yes, but I’ve learned a lot versus where I played elsewhere.
You folks don’t miss much.
So, regarding endgame, looks like it’s all up to the Prof!

Whoever the final scum is, they played a great, ballsy game.
I missed that Hooker also has claimed a name… Bryan Mills. Jason Bourne or Bryan Mills. Matt Damon or Liam Neeson? Which one fits best within the context of this game?
On the discussion above about the setup:
The names have been a huge boon to town. Optimally, we should probably have claimed day one and made it easier on ourselves. Would have been a bit boring though. We would still have to guess vanillas, but we would have had time and bodies to do that and kill scum. The current situation is a result of not mass claiming, leaving it a fairer game, mixed with a pretty darn good scum player. And me playing with explosives and getting killed for nothing… IMO

I’m more and more thinking HookerChemical is scum. In light of everything, I’ve mostly agreed with Astral Rejection throughout the game. Especially about meta. Hooker prevented a lynch, that just isn’t townie to me. Astral, while getting hung up on some other players and being aggressive, have done things I’d think a townie would do and been honest about it. Hooker have been very convincing, but but not convincing enough. If I’m wrong, that’s an even bigger compliment to Astral.
In game, Hooker just suggested a theory that Astral is “Frank” (I think he meant to say Karl) “but thinks he’s Jason Bourne”.
This strange, unlikely suggestion is giving me confidence that the Prof. has guessed right, and the last bad guy is grasping at straws to save himself.
Still, it is interesting to imagine a Mafia variant where the scum don’t know they’re scum. The setup could be that certain villagers have been possessed by spirits, which cause them to commit evil acts at night, without remembering it later. I’m trying to think of ways to set this up so it would actually be an interesting game.
Yeah, that doesn’t make sense. That would put agency out of players own hands.
