Mail links not working in Firefox

I use Firefox 1.0.7 and Thunderbird 1.0. Whenever I click on a mailbox link on a site or use the File>Send Link option, nothing happens. I haven’t made any changes in either program and both are cleared through the firewall (Zone Alarm Pro).

What gives?

Go to Start|Settings|Control Panel|Internet Options, click the Programs tab, and make sure that Thunderbird is selected as your default E-mail program.

Try changing it to something else, hitting Apply, then changing it back.

You could also make the changes suggested here, though they don’t seem to apply perfectly to your situation.

I checked that and it looks like it supposed to, but the mail still doesn’t work.

I also tried switching the default email program to Outlook Express and back again - still nada.

Hmmmm…I uninstalled 1.0.7 and reinstalled 1.0.6 and now everything works!
