Mozilla Thunderbird problem with links

Been using Firefox & Thunderbird for some time now and they are without doubt the best out there.

Everything works like a charm, except (isn’t there alway an “except?”) links in incoming email. They still are shown in blue, but when click on them, nothing happens, so have to copy and paste to get to the URL.

This did not happen when I started, but only after I upgraded to a later version of FF some months ago.

I hauled up my old Netscape 7.1 and no problem there, only in T’Bird. I posted on their forum and some others said they had the same problem, but nobody had a fix that works.

I do use Adblock extension and have stopped popups, etc, but that should not be the cause, eh?

Any of you gurus know what’s wrong and how to fix it?

Is there an activate links and images switch somewhere? AOL mail has that on each email. If I don’t click it links are not activated.

Thanks, interesting suggestion. However, just went through all the Options, but no such choice.

Just one of the mysteries of computing, I guess.
