It would appear that some spiders do lurk under toilet seats. It used to be mainly men and boys who were bit by spiders on sensitive areas in outhouses, and the villain was and is the Black Widow. We had a recent incident concerning our deputy sheriff here in our remote Arizona town who was bit-not once-not twice-but three times on the buttocks by a Black Widow lurking in a porta-pottie. He spent several days in the hospital and was off work for about a month. The reason he was in a porta-pottie was because he was working constuction in his off time.
wrongz, in the forum called “Comments on Staff Reports”, there’s another thread about this already: “Do poisonous spiders lurk under toilet seats?”
I’m moving your thread to that forum, since it’s a Staff Report rather than a column by Cecil.
And here’s the link to the Staff Report: Do poisonous spiders lurk under toilet seats?
But an outhouse is very different from a restaurant toilet, or an airplane toilet.
Depends on the restaurant.
Well, for that matter, depends on the outhouse.
I’ve changed the title of this thread to stop it from making the page formatting “all wonky”.
