In the staff report about spiders under toilet seats, staff member Doug provided a little gem of humor that caused me to nearly spill my water:

Except that I don’t believe that for a second. I’ve tried every pesticide known to arachnid and still have spiders in my bathroom. Mostly in the ceiling and floor corners, but I know for a fact that spiders are not aware that toilets are “dirty”, so they have no cause to avoid them per se.
They’re like little Mike Tysons just itching to treat the next available scroat like a speed bag.
Concensus, spiders in the actual bathroom are not disputed. But poisonous spiders under the toilet seat that supposedly killed several people is what is being discussed in the staff report.
