Maine residents find dead mystery beast?

How 'bout a pug ? Short snout, bug eyes, a face only a mother could love; I could see it.

I had a dog that was a huskie. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was part wolf, she was one big mofo and had both an eye of blue and one of brown. I miss her :frowning:

It looks a lot like a Schipperke dog right down to the comepletely black lips and eyes. The animal looks like a one of the parents were one.

When my sister lived in Alaska, one of her neighbors decided to see what would happen if he bred “Pit Wolves.” Answer: the smarter ones figure out a way to escape. It was shortly after this that my sister’s husband insisted that she learn to use the pistol.

I’d learn to use a pistol, too, if I lived next door to a guy like that. Who knows what brilliant ideas he might come up with tomorrow? Anyone who breeds pit bulls with wolves just to “see what would happen” is probably just as likely to decide that kidnapping people and selling their kidneys over the internet would make a spiffy get-rich-quick scheme.

“Pit wolves?” Seriously, that’s beautiful in its inspired stupidity. Yes, by all means let us breed timber wolves with pit bulls! What could possibly go wrong? Surely nothing but good could come of such an endeavor! What utterly perfect B-movie material. Lance Henriksen could star as the rural Alaskan sheriff confronted with a bizarre series of savage animal attacks around Denali National Park. “Dammit, Clay, I don’t care if no other tracks were found; there’s no way a wolf could have been the killer! Look at the way the femur’s been sheared away-- only a grizzly exerts that kind of bite pressure!”

Maybe it mated with a freaky-ass mutant Maine lobster !

My first reaction on hearing it was, “Thank God there’s an Alaksa.” I don’t think the guy was born there, you know.

I’d like to breed pit bulls with monkeys. That would be cool.

Done it.

Ended up with a footlocker full of dead hookers. That was one weird church service.

If I had seen the picture first before reading the story I’d have said, that looks like a dead Chow Chow. With the story, I still think it looks like a Chow.

DNA test proves it’s a canine. Now is there still a mystery beast in Maine? In all fairness this just proves this animal wasn’t a mystery beast.

The article says some people thought it was a German Sheperd. Did these people ever see a German Shepherd in their life?
