Ok the rules are simple. Kinda like the word morphing game, but completely different. Someone gives an offense someone else fits it with a punishment.
Example: Rape = testicles gnawed off by rabid badgers.
Murder of young child = Chinese torture of a thousand cuts.
Stealing a stick of gum = one caning across your lower back.
You can modify punishments and make them really fit the crime. I’m sure dopers can come up with some pretty obscure punishments, or unusual tortures

Murder of a young child => A pair of prison sentences. First, a low security resort for the number of years the child was alive (most reasonable requests for nicer conditions granted), followed by solitary confinement & sensory deprivation for the rest of the killer’s natural life. The prisoner will not be informed about the true nature of the sentence until the day of the switch.
Stealing a stick of gum => Prisoner is forced to work at a convenience store without pay until he has a complete shift in which the register balances and no inventory goes missing. Prisoner pays the absolute value of the difference between register and inventory for the duration of the sentence, that is to say, overcharging will not cause the prisoner to profit.

Stealing a bike- Bike stealer must get down on his hands and knees and carry the victim on his or her back wherever he would normally go on his/her bike. If large differences of body weight make this physically impossible, the stealer may pull the victim in a wagon instead.

Life insurance fraud- make those who committed the fraud work at McDonalds and give the money to those who have lost a loved one that did not have insurance.
Car insurance fraud - make those who committed the fraud use public transportation, not as passengers, but as custodians.
Home insurance fraud - make those who commit the fraud build houses for habitat for humanity and make them help the families move into the new homes.
