"Makeup for Men Is on the Rise—and No Longer a Taboo" I call shenanigans on this perennial BS claim

A mobile phone, portable GPS and an iPod? This is multiple devices that could easily share functions in one phone-sized device. It’s like going on a picnic with a loaf of bread, packet of deli meat, and a tub of mustard, instead of simply making the sandwiches before you head out.

I dunno from Nexus 7, but my Kindle Fire will fit in the back pocket of a pair of Levis, the cargo pocket on a pair of shorts or khakis, and the inside pocket on all but one jacket/sports coat.

you said “tablet, cell phone, iPod, and GPS.” a smartphone is three of those things.

What I found appealing about tinted moisturizer, which I had never heard of before this thread, is that I put moisturizer on every day anyway. I use it for the SPF as much as the moisturizing - my skin doesn’t really dry out a lot except sometimes in the winter, but I like to protect my face from the sun.

So to me, this tinted stuff sounds subtle yet beneficial without any bother whatsoever.

Is this tinted moisturizer specifically for men? Because I had no idea such a thing existed, and I did look at all the men’s facial skin care products a few years ago when I was buying some for an ex (his skin care regime consisted of rubbing alcohol! his skin was still fine, but come on).

It’s for ladies, but I’m going to try it anyway!

You go for it  But don’t apply it with a makeup sponge because that’s just too much.

I think you’re confusing me with another poster, friend.

It’s marketed mostly to ladies. There are some that are marketed to guys . . . but they are like, triple the price of the exact same stuff that’s sold to the women.

I, a woman who likes to wear a metric fuck ton of make up, don’t even put it on with a sponge. I use my hands, like the primal ape I am.

my backpack contains

change
tokens
sewing kit
my pills
thumb drive
bottle opener
emergency rain poncho
sunglasses
breath mints
pens
The Golden Guide To Bats
a composition book
bus schedule
several books of various sizes I’m currently reading
umbrella
windbreaker
sunscreen
insect repellant
foreign legion hat

and for some reason, a large plastic spider.

Hah, ok well i think you are better off with a backpack than a purse at this point.

I use a Scott E vest.

In it, I carry:

-iphone
-3 pens 1 mechanical pencil, 1 sharpie
-hairbrush
-laser pointer
-earbuds
-USB drive
-second wallet with all my loyalty cards
-business card holder
-wrap-around sunglasses in their case
-car keys
-house & misc. keys
-starbucks card
-point & shoot camera
-pill box with basic OTC meds (allergy, cold & pain)
-old business card case w. assorted bandaids
-alcohol wipes for cleaning glasses
-2 pair vinyl exam gloves
-1 bottle hand sanitizer.

I can carry at will either an ipad, magazine or paperback book, and a 500ml water bottle.

Never looks bulgy. Takes 3 seconds to put on take off, and most pockets are inside, so there isnt’ the “photographer vest” effect.

I’m a dude. When I was a kid this seemed to happen all the time and would make me cry, especially in the corners. As an adult it seems less frequent but occasionally I have to pull eyelashes out of my eye. Don’t think I’m going to use a curler anytime though.

Huh?

The history of male makeup http://infashuation.net/2012/12/07/mens-makeup/

I’m in a creative field and have lots of gay friends. While Boston isn’t that hip, NONE of the men I know where make-up.

April R, I’ve redacted the quote in your post, but left the link, for copyright reasons. An outtake of a paragraph or two is fine to summarize the linked story. Anything more and people start getting cross with us.
