Her amazing recovery just gets better and better. It was barely a month ago that the surgeons rebuilt her shattered skull. It was just last October when the Taliban shot her in the head.
Hearing her speak normally and walking you’d swear that she escaped any neurological damage. There had to be some permanent damage but it isn’t obvious. She’s got a huge titanium plate covering the injury.
At least now she can attend school without someone trying to kill her for being a schoolgirl. She’ll probably get a much more advanced education in Britain. Girls opportunities are limited in Pakistan.
Saw footage of her talking this morning - other than a certain roughness to the skin on the left side of her face and some paralysis there, I didn’t notice anything amiss. And she sounded so happy.
