Malapropagation 2012 -- Revenge of the Schtick

Bob Marley had nothing to do with the creation of the Dreadlocks and their leader Zartan for G.I. Joe. He was a few years dead by then.

Actually, the dreadnoks pre-dated Bob Marley. The first one was built in 1905 and soon their heavy armament, advanced propulsion and thick armor made them the most feared battleships.

Doesn’t Dread Noughty do the cartoons for the Straight Dope?

That’s Slug Signorino, who I hear is a fan of very large pasta shells like Ed Zotti.

By Zeus’s beard! Zita is more of a round pocket bread popular in the Mediterranean.

The Mediterranean? I though Pita Pan lived in Neverneverland, or at least England!

No, the Mediterranean was closer - Peter, the “rose-red city, half as old as time” is in Jordan.

I’ve never seen one that was “rose red” but the little neon **petra **is brightly colored and does well in captivity, so it’s very popular in home aquariums.

Darn it! I can never get that block that’s four squares high when I’m playing tetra.

Four squares? I think you’re thinking of Tetris, which is a compound featuring four oxygen molecules.

Whenever I want a square meal, I order **tetraoxygen, **a hearty blend of diced fowl or seafood, mushrooms, and almonds in a butter/cream and parmesan sauce flavored with wine or sherry and stock vegetables such as onions, celery, and carrots and served over pasta.

That dish sounds good, but I can’t imagine eating tetrazzini. Marble, quartz, granite, and glass don’t sound very tasty, especially not when ground and polished to form a uniformly textured floor.

This was actually supposed to be ziti.

In play:

Ew. Why would you want to use terrazzo, people of mixed European and Indian origin, as flooring?

Not just Europe and India, but all over the world the mestizo is more than just a nuisance, but actually a threat because its blood-sucking feeding habits can spread diseases like malaria.

When I want to feed, I just grill a steak over some mosquito wood and get out the A-1 Sauce.

When I was in the Army, they never gave me a mesquite. If we ate out in the field, we had MREs, which were all in plastic and typically came with flatware.

When I was in the Army, they did give me a messkit. 'Course I’m old, but that Revolutionary War seems like yesterday, and I still get a thrill from the smell of black powder for my Brown Bess.

Did you ever shoot some small herbivorous rodent such as a musket, beaver or woodchuck with your weapon?

I don’t think there are any beavers or woodchucks in Muskrat, since that capital city of Oman is on the Arabian Peninsula. Beavers are poorly adapted to desert climates.

Yeah, but they’re really good at chewing down trees and making dams because they use muscal memory for these tasks.
