This summer I’m visiting Mexico City. I plan on visiting the pyramids of Teotihuacan while I’m in the area. Does anmyone know if malaria is a problem in that area?
CDC report for the region:

As Teotihuacan is in Mexico state, which is not mentioned above, it would appear to be safe enough. But I will note that it has been reported in neighboring states like Michocan and Guerrero, so you may want to discuss prophylactic measures with a doctor ( chloroquinine appears to be the CDC’s recommendation for Mexico ).

I was in Mexico last April and visited Teotihuacán. My doctor advised me there was no need for malaria prophylaxis in this area.
Enjoy - the ruins are cool (even if the ambience was spoilt by the dozens of school groups swarming over evrything)
Stupid coding. Teotihuacán. There.
