Not exactly northeast, but in the Detroit area there is plenty of non-sicilian square pizza. A few places even offer both square pizza and sicilian style on their menu. I’m not sure what the exact dif. is.
I get it, Loach. You’re playing the role of Jersey pizza snob. Whatever
Dominos thin crust is really just the chain version of Midwestern thin crust pizza, which is my all time favorite, better than anything I’ve had in Jersey. And this kind of pizza IS usually cut into squares or rectangles. The best places cut them into small 1.5 inch squares or strips that are 0.75 inches wide and 3 to 4 inches long.
Traditional Roman wood fired pizza IS among the best pizza there is, but it’s soft in the center so if you pick up the whole wedge the tip will flop over. You eat the tip with a fork and knife and then pick up the rest.
I use my hands now, but back when I had braces in my mouth, biting into things was not the smartest thing to do after any work was done on them so I used a fork.
God bless you always!!!

There is one up near Seattle, there was another but it closed down a few years ago.
